2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, in order to make a bathroom or the like appear larger, a bay window has been provided in a bathroom, and a washstand or the like has been installed in the bay window. A mirror is attached to the front of the bay window on the indoor side so that shaving etc. can be done easily. Incidentally, conventionally, mirrors have been attached to bay windows as shown in FIG. That is, the upper frame 2 and the lower frame 3 are attached to the upper and lower edges of the front opening of the bay window 1, respectively, and the ends of the exterior material 6 are fitted into the upper and lower frames 2 and 3 to attach the exterior material 6, and the upper and lower frames 2 are attached. , 3 are each fixed with an L-shaped angle 12 on the indoor side, and these L-shaped angles 12, 12
The mirror 4 was attached to the front of the bay window 1 by fitting the upper and lower ends of the mirror 4 into the recesses 13, 13. In the figure, 25 is a counter, 14 is a washing bowl, 15 is a roof, 16 is a window, 17 is a picture frame,
18 is a door. However, in this structure, mirror 4
is fixed by an L-shaped angle 12, so the design is not neat. Also, since the exterior material 6 and mirror 4 of the bay window 1 are located at the boundary between the outdoors and the indoors, the difference in temperature between the outdoors and indoors The inner surface of the exterior material 6 and the mirror 4
There is a problem of condensation forming on the surface, especially when a bay window 1 is installed in the bathroom, condensation always forms on the inner wall surface of the bay window 1 while the bathroom is in use. If the mirror 4 is installed in a humid place, the silver mirror surface of the mirror 4 will corrode.
There was a problem that the mirror surface peeled off, causing so-called staining.

That is, the present invention attaches an upper frame 2 and a lower frame 3 to the upper and lower edges of the opening of a bay window 1 protruding toward the outside of a house, respectively, and attaches an exterior material 6 to the back side of a mirror 4 via a spacer 5 to form a mirror plate. At the same time, a plastic sheet 8 is attached to the entire back surface of the mirror 4, and both upper and lower ends of the mirror plate 7 are fitted into the fitting recesses 9 and 10 of the upper frame 2 and lower frame 3, respectively. The above object is achieved by a structure for attaching a mirror to a bay window, which is characterized in that the frame 3 is provided with a drain hole 11 that penetrates from the fitting recess 10 to the outdoors.

As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, a bay window 1 protruding toward the outside of the house is provided on the wall surface of the bathroom, etc., and an upper frame 2 and a lower frame 3 are provided at the upper and lower edges of the opening of the bay window 1, respectively. is installed. A fitting recess 9 opening downward is formed in the upper frame 2 over its entire length, and a fitting recess 10 opening upward is formed in the lower frame 3 over its entire length. Further, the lower frame 3 is provided with a drainage hole 11 that penetrates from the fitting recess 10 downward to the outdoor side. The mirror plate 7 is formed by attaching an exterior material 6 to the back side of the mirror 4 via a spacer 5, as shown in FIG. It is attached as shown. The gap d between the mirror 4 and the exterior material 6 is preferably 3 mm or more. The mirror plate 7 thus formed is attached to the bay window 1 by fitting its upper and lower ends into the fitting recesses 9, 10 of the upper frame 2 and lower frame 3 by means of the ridges 20. In the figure, 21 is a bead, 22 is a spacer block, and 23 is a paint applied to the back surface of the mirror 4.

It is simple, and even when replacing the mirror 4 or the exterior material 6, it can be easily done since it has a mounting structure of the push-edge type. The mirror 4 attached to the bay window 1 is an L-shaped angle 1 like the conventional one.
Since the mirror 4 is set using a push-edge method without using second parts, the design is clean and has a good appearance. Moreover, the number of parts is reduced, so it can be manufactured at a lower cost than before. be. Due to the temperature difference between indoors and outdoors, a large amount of dew condensation will occur in the bathroom bay window 1, especially on the back surface of the mirror 4, but this water droplet is removed by attaching a water-impermeable plastic sheet 8 to the back surface of the mirror 4. The plastic sheet 8 prevents water from penetrating and corrodes the painted copper surface of the mirror 4. Water droplets adhering to the surface of the plastic sheet 8 flow down the surface of the plastic sheet 8 and drain into the drain hole 1 of the lower frame 2.
1 is discharged outdoors. Also, mirror 4
Since the mirror 4 and the exterior material 6 are attached via the spacer 5, a gap d is formed between them, and water accumulates between the mirror 4 and the exterior material 6 due to capillary action. This allows water droplets to flow down smoothly. Furthermore, since a plastic sheet 8 is attached to the back of the mirror 4, even if the mirror 4 breaks by mistake, the mirror 4
It does not scatter, and is safe when used as a mirror 4 in a bathroom. Here, if a cushioning material is used as the spacer 5, the impact on the surface of the mirror 4 can be absorbed and the mirror 4 can be made difficult to break.

As described above, in the present invention, an upper frame and a lower frame are attached to the upper and lower edges of the opening of a bay window protruding toward the outdoors of a house, respectively, and an exterior material is attached to the back side of the mirror via a spacer to form a mirror plate. At the same time, a plastic sheet is pasted on the entire back surface of the mirror, and the upper and lower ends of this mirror plate are fitted into the fitting recesses of the upper and lower frames, respectively.
There is a drainage hole in the lower frame that passes through the fitting recess to the outdoors, so when installing the mirror on the bay window, the upper and lower ends of the mirror plate must be fitted between the fitting recesses of the upper and lower frames using a push-edge method. In addition to being easy to install, it also has a clean design and a good appearance. In addition, water droplets that adhere to the back of the mirror due to condensation flow down the surface of the plastic sheet and are drained outside from the drain hole.
Water does not always adhere to the back of the mirror and corrode the copper-finished surface of the mirror, and the silver mirror of the mirror does not peel off even in a humid bay window of a bathroom.
