The present invention relates to a laminate made of a polyester film and a woven fabric with low total light transmittance. The object of the present invention is to provide a laminate having a structure in which a specific polyester film is laminated between two types of woven fabrics, which has excellent mechanical properties, heat resistance, and chemical resistance, and which prevents the occurrence of moiré phenomena. It is about providing. It is well known that, in general, in the case of laminates using textiles, a moiré phenomenon occurs due to light interference due to overlapping threads constituting the textile, and this can seriously impair the quality of the product. Conventionally, a method to avoid this drawback was to deviate the angle of the laminated fabric by 30° to 60° (D.T2908975
Although it is possible to manufacture products intermittently using this method,
In the case of DT2908975, continuous lamination process is not possible. The present invention relates to a laminate that prevents the occurrence of moiré phenomena and enables continuous production. Examples of the polyester used in the polyester film of the present invention include non-copolymerized homopolymers of polyethylene terephthalate, in which 85 mol% or more of the number of repeating units consists of ethylene terephthalate units, and the remaining units are other components. It may be a copolymerized polyethylene terephthalate or a polymer blend in which polyethylene terephthalate accounts for 90% by weight or more and other polymers account for 10% by weight or less. Any of unstretched polyester film, uniaxially oriented polyester film, and biaxially oriented polyester film can be used, but biaxially oriented polyester film is most preferred from the viewpoint of mechanical properties and thermal properties. The thickness of the polyester film is not particularly limited, but is preferably in the range of 5 to 100 μm. Although there is no particular restriction on the fineness of the fabric constituting the laminate, a fineness of 30 to 250 deniers is usually used. The present invention relates to a laminate made of the above-mentioned film and woven fabric, and provides a laminate in which the moiré phenomenon is significantly improved by laminating the woven fabric with a polyester film whose total light transmittance is 50% or less. We have discovered that it is possible to obtain What is the total light transmittance here? JIS K-6714 (4.16 pages)
It is calculated by the following formula using the value measured by the method described. Total light transmittance Incident light amount Total light transmittance (sum of parallel light and scattered light) is T t is T 1 is T 2 Total light transmittance Tt (%) = T 2 / T 1 × 100 of polyester film As a method for reducing the total light transmittance to 50% or less, there may be used a method in which the surface of the film is slightly scratched to reduce the transmittance, a method in which the surface of the film is coated with a light-shielding substance, and the like. It is thought that by limiting the total amount of transmitted light, the light interference phenomenon that occurs in the laminate of film and fabric is weakened, thereby preventing the occurrence of moiré phenomena. The fibers used in these textiles may be polyester fibers, polyamide fibers, aramid fibers, polyacrylonitrile fibers, or the like. As for the lamination method when making the laminate of the present invention, when using an unstretched polyester film, heating under pressure is possible, but an adhesive is required for uniaxially stretched films and biaxially stretched films. . The adhesive can be appropriately selected from among polyester resins, polyurethane resins, polyacrylate resins, epoxy resins, etc. depending on the use of the laminate. By the way, the laminate of the present invention can be used for yacht sailcloth, windsurf-in cloth, sailing canvas, tent fabric, canvas, bags, waterproof coats, and the like. Examples 1 to 4 Laminated bodies were prepared by laminating the fabrics shown in Table 1 on both sides of polyethylene terephthalate films having different total light transmittances and having a thickness of 50 μm, and the presence or absence of moire phenomenon was determined. The results are shown in Table-1. It is recognized that effective effects are shown at transmittance of 50% or less.
