Conventional rubber swimming caps have generally been formed into a cap shape by adhering substantially fan-shaped rubber sheet pieces to each other using an adhesive. For this reason, it requires a large amount of manpower and time to manufacture, leading to a rise in manufacturing costs, and has the disadvantage that the bonded portion is easily damaged, the seam is easily visible, and the aesthetic appearance is impaired.

Furthermore, according to the above-mentioned conventional example, since the elasticity of the peripheral edge and the top are the same, if this elasticity is made small, it tends to fall off from the head, and conversely, if the elasticity is made large, it tightens the head and causes discomfort.

The present invention aims to eliminate the various drawbacks of the above-mentioned conventional examples at once, and a plate-shaped rubber material 3 whose peripheral portion 2 is made of a harder material than the central portion 1 is placed inside the female die 4 of the mold 7. After placement, the male mold 5 of the mold 7 is fitted to the female mold 4 and heat vulcanized to produce a swimming cap integrally molded into a cap shape.

Next, the present invention will be specifically explained based on embodiments shown in the drawings. The rubber material 3 of this embodiment is made up of a disc-shaped rubber material 3a made of a relatively soft material and an annular rubber material 3b made of a relatively hard material disposed around the outer periphery of the disc-shaped rubber material 3a in contact with each other, and as a whole. is disk-shaped. These rubber materials 3a and 3b are made of natural rubber or synthetic rubber. For example, in the case of silicone rubber, the amount of silica mixed in can be adjusted, and by increasing the amount, the hard rubber material 3b is made, and by decreasing it, it is made of soft rubber. They each constitute the material 3a. In the case of natural rubber, the hardness can be adjusted by increasing or decreasing the amount of carbon mixed in. Further, these rubber materials 3a and 3b are mixed with a vulcanizing agent that causes thermal vulcanization at a temperature above a certain temperature.

The rubber materials 3a and 3b are as shown in FIG.
It is arranged in the female mold 4 of a mold 7, which consists of a female mold 4 and a male mold 5, and a cap-shaped molding space 6 is formed between the two when the two are combined. After lowering the male die 5 to the state shown in FIG. 4, heat is applied to the rubber materials 3a and 3b, and the rubber materials 3a and 3b are
becomes molten and spreads into the molding space 6,
Both rubber materials 3a and 3b are phase-fused at the boundary and become one body. Furthermore, rubber elasticity is imparted by the thermal vulcanization effect of the vulcanizing agent. The elasticity of this rubber is large in the peripheral portion 2a of the finished product A and small in the central portion 1a, depending on the properties of the rubber materials 3a and 3b.
After cooling, the rubber materials 3a and 3b are expanded into a cap shape, and are fused together to form the first rubber material.
A finished product A as shown in the figure is obtained. The heating temperature is preferably 150°C to 170°C.

In the above embodiment, the thickness of the peripheral edge 2a of the finished product A is larger than that of the center part 1a, so that the elasticity of the peripheral edge 2a is further increased.

Further, in the above embodiment, a combination of two separately formed hard and soft rubber materials 3a and 3b was used as the rubber material 3, but it may also be constructed from a single plate-shaped rubber material. A predetermined hardness can be imparted to a predetermined location by adjusting the amount of silica, carbon, etc. mixed in the peripheral and central portions of the rubber material.

As a result of the present invention having the above configuration, a swimming cap can be efficiently manufactured using a mold. In other words, similar to the conventional manufacturing method using a mold, in which a plate-shaped rubber material is placed in a mold and heat-cured, swimming caps can be manufactured extremely efficiently and at low cost. .

That is, the swimming cap obtained by the method of the present invention does not have the risk of being damaged along the boundary line as in the conventional example, and does not have the drawback that the seam of the adhesive part is visible and spoils the aesthetic appearance.

Furthermore, according to the present invention, it is possible to manufacture a swimming cap with stronger elasticity by making the peripheral part harder than the top (center part), so that the swimming cap is less likely to fall off than the swimmer's head, and the top part is hard. Since it is soft and has low elasticity, it has the effect of not squeezing the swimmer's head and causing discomfort.

Furthermore, the present invention can solve the following problems. In other words, the human head is generally shaped so that the part that touches the periphery of a swimming cap is slightly concave than the top, so it is necessary to make the inner diameter of the periphery of the swimming cap slightly smaller than the inner diameter of the upper part. do. However, when integrally molding a swimming cap using a mold, there is a problem in that it is extremely difficult to make the inner diameter of the peripheral portion smaller than the inner diameter of the upper portion. The present invention solves this problem by changing the rubber hardness of the peripheral edge portion and the upper portion of the swimming cap to create a difference in diameter reduction ratio due to rubber elasticity. Therefore, the swimming cap manufactured according to the present invention has the advantage that it is always worn tightly on the swimmer's head.

As described above, the present invention is hard to be damaged, has an excellent appearance, can be worn by fitting it to the swimmer's head, has no risk of falling off while swimming, and can be worn comfortably.
A swimming cap that can also be used for competitive swimming can be manufactured efficiently and at low cost.
