用される円錐ホーンアンテナあるいは角錐ホーン
アンテナなどのホーンアンテナに関するものであ
る。

従来このようなホーンアンテナは第1図、第2
図に示すように円錐あるいは角錐のホーン1と給
電導波管2で構成されていた。このようなホーン
アンテナを屋外で使用する場合には、雨などによ
る水滴の浸入を防ぐ為、あるいはホーン内の積雪
を防ぐ為に開口カバーを取り付ける必要がある。
従来このような開口カバーとしては、第3図に示
すようにテフロンなどからなる厚さの薄い誘電体
膜3を開口にあて、上記誘電体膜を金属板あるい
は誘電体板からなるリング4にて押え、そのリン
グを多数のネジ5によりホーンに取り付けてい
た。さらに十分な気密を必要とする場合には、ホ
ーンの開口面側の壁の断面に、周方向に溝6を切
りその溝の中にゴムなどのパツキン材7を入れる
ことによつて、上記誘電体膜3とホーンの開口面
を密着させていた。従つてこのような構造ではホ
ーンの開口カバーが多数のネジで取り付けてある
為に取り外しが容易でないこと。ホーンの開口面
側の壁の断面に溝を切ること、ネジ止めの為のネ
ジ穴をあけることなどの理由よりホーンの壁の厚
さを厚くする必要があり、ホーンの重量が重くな
ること。さらに誘電体膜を押える為に、ホーンの
開口部に取り付けたリングが、ホーンの電気性能
を劣化させることなどの欠点があつた。

ている。そして開口の大きさよりも大きい誘電体
膜3をホーンの開口および開口部の外側に取り付
けた輪8を包むように被せ、上記誘電体膜3の外
側より溝6にはまる金属あるいは誘電体からなる
帯9をあて、上記誘電体膜3を開口部にとめてあ
る。従つてこのような構成とすることによつて、
開口カバーである誘電体膜3の取りはずしが容易
であること、ホーンの開口面側の壁面にネジ穴溝
を必要としないので外壁の肉厚を薄くできホーン
を軽量にすることができるなどの利点がある。さ
らにホーンの開口部に誘電体膜を押える為のリン
グがないこと、開口部におけるホーンの肉厚を薄
くできることより、これらの部分がホーンの電気
性能へ与える影響を少なくすることができる。

体からなる帯を当て、上記誘電体膜をホーンの開
口部に取付けたことを特徴とするホーンアンテ

の小さい溝を上記ホーンの開口部の溝と平行とな
