Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a liposome water dispersion showing liposome stability for a long period, containing a polyhydric alcohol and/or a saccharide.
CONSTITUTION: 1pt.wt. lipid is blended with 0W1pt.wt. sterol as a membrane stabilizer and 0W0.2pt.wt. charged substance to give a liposome membrane component substance, which is dissolved in a proper solvent such as chloroform, the solvent is distilled away under reduce pressure to form a lipid film, which is suspended in water, incorporated with a polyhydric alcohol (e.g. glycerin or propylene glycol) and/or a saccharide (e.g. lactose or mannitol) to give a liposome water dispersion. 0.001W2pts.wt. polyhydric alcohol and 0.001W0.3pt.wt. saccharide are used based on 1pt.wt. liposome water dispersion and the liposome water dispersion is preferably adjusted to pH about 6.0W8.0 by using a monovalent base or acid.
