Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate sorting operation without causing trouble on filing operation by carrying out no filing operation when only one or more than N sheets are included in a set of sheets while carrying out filing operation when 2-N sheets are included in the set, then retreating the sheets from operating position of filing means. CONSTITUTION:In a facsimile, a recording sheet 8 recorded with data through a recording head 11 and fed out through a pair of rollers 15, 16 is passed through a space 26 with the tip thereof being regulated by a stop member 22B in a holder board 22, then cut with cutters 13, 14 and lapped over sequentially. When a number of recording sheets 81... corresponding to single communication are outputted, a cam board 35 is rotated forward through a motor 32 to advance an impact board 42 through the tip of a staple magazine 51 to an anvil 44 so as to carrying out filing operation. When only one or more than N sheets are included for single communication, the motor 32 rotates reversely to carry out no filing operation, and an elongated retractable board 38 is projected during latter half stage of rotation of the cam board 35 in any case to retreat recording sheets 81... from the anvil 44. Consequently, sorting and arrangement of sheets are facilitated without causing trouble on filing operation.
