Abstract

PURPOSE:To control the posture of pile to be penetrated vertically by a method in which an inclinometer or a rotation meter is provided for the leader mast of a pile penetrator, pile, and pile chuck, and the pile is held vertical on the basis of the three-dimensional attitude of the leader mast. CONSTITUTION:A pile penetrator consists principally of a saddle 10 to penetrate a pile 100 into the ground and a leader mast 12 to determine the penetrating direction and position of the pile in relation to the saddle 10. An inclinometer 30 of X-Y axle is provided for a penetrating cylinder 24 and also for the pile. Rotating meters 20 and 26 of Z axle are provided for the leader mast 12 and the pile chuck 22. On the basis of the three-dimensional detection output of the mast 12, the position of pile is automatically controlled to keep it vertical. The control operation efficiency of the pile posture can thus be greatly enhanced.
