Abstract
PURPOSE:To generate active nuclides in a short time with high efficiency by impressing a pulse high frequency voltage across a discharge electrode comprising a packing material comprising metallic wire provided by bringing into contact with one of a solid dielectric and a metallic film provided by bringing into contact with another face of the dielectric. CONSTITUTION:A packing material 6 comprising metallic wire such as stainless steel, etc., wound around a packing material holder 5 of stainless steel, etc., comprising a pipe 5a and a flange part 5b is allowed to contact with an inner surface of a glass pipe 1 as solid dielectric. On one hand, a metallic film 2 such as stainless steel film, etc., is formed by spray coating an external periphery of the glass pipe 1.
