Abstract
PURPOSE: To make it possible to omit an MPU and to reduce the cost of a system by storing parameter set values having high application frequency in a set value selection circuit and selecting a suitable combination based upon a signal inputted from an external terminal. CONSTITUTION: Parameter set values having high application frequency are stored in the set value selection circuit 5. In a general example, a pin setting mode is selected by a mode selector 1, so that the external terminal is turned to a mode terminal for the circuit 5 by a pin function selecting circuit 2 and a multiplexer 7 transmits an output value from the circuit 5 to an internal circuit. Since only parameters are selected by the external terminal in the state, the addition of a new MPU is unnecessary. Consequently many parameters can be set up in a device separated from the MPU without increasing cost.
