B. Object of the present invention: [Industrial field of application] The present invention relates to an anti-termite coating liquid, and more specifically,
The present invention relates to a highly persistent termite-controlling coating solution that has termite-controlling power that lasts for a surprisingly long time by coexisting an organic phosphorus insecticide and an organic acid metal salt in a liquid synthetic resin. [Previous application] Insecticides and
The present inventor has already filed a patent application for a method for preventing the formation of termite trails, which prevents termite damage to buildings by applying a coating liquid mixed with a termite repellent. No. 58-239404, Japanese Patent Publication No. 60-133141). This method was proposed as an alternative termite control method in view of the fact that the so-called soil treatment method, which controls termites by removing chlordane from the soil, causes water pollution. By the way, buildings are used for a long period of 30 to 50 years, and once a building is completed, even if the termite prevention treatment is to be reapplied later, it is a major undertaking and is very troublesome. For this reason, even in the method of applying a coating solution proposed by the present inventor, it is said that it is ideal to use a termite-control coating solution that has a long-lasting termite-controlling effect. . However, simply mixing insecticides into paints or solvents does not provide a long-lasting termite-preventing coating solution that can protect buildings from termites over a long period of time. A solution to this problem was to mix in high concentrations of highly toxic insecticides, but there was a risk that the health of construction workers and residents would be harmed by the medicinal components that would evaporate over a period of minutes. However, it was not possible to actually hire him. [Problems to be Solved by the Present Invention] The present invention has been made in an attempt to overcome the above-mentioned technical bottlenecks in the anti-termite liquid coating method proposed earlier, and its aim is to However, although the insecticide content is relatively low, it is a safe and highly effective termite control that lasts for almost the entire life of the building. To provide an ant coating solution. Another aim of the present invention is to provide a practical anti-termite coating agent that can be easily applied by even amateurs on a do-it-yourself basis, and which does not cause environmental pollution. B. Structure of the present invention: [Means for solving the problem] That is, according to the present invention, an insecticide containing an organic phosphorus insecticide and an organic acid metal salt is mixed into a liquid synthetic resin. An ant coating solution is provided. Therefore, in the present invention, liquid synthetic resins include those whose main component is a polyurethane resin material, those whose main component is an acrylic resin material, etc.
Most of the synthetic resins conventionally used in paints and adhesives can be adjusted to a desired viscosity. Next, as organophosphorus insecticides, fenitrothion, phoxim, chlorpyrifos, acephate, prothiophos, tetrachlorvinphos, etc. are used, and as organic acid metal salts, for example, zinc octylate and zinc versatate are used. .
By the way, the reason why the termite control power improves when such an organophosphorus insecticide and an organic acid metal salt are mixed is that the metal atom in the latter has a weak double bond in the organophosphorus compound. It is speculated that this is because it metastasizes to other parts of the body. For example, when fenitrothion (C 9 H 12 NO 5 P=S) and zinc octylate (C 7 H 15 COO) 2 Zn react, S at P=S in fenitrothion reacts.
It is presumed that Zn binds and changes the vapor to a relatively slow vapor property. Although the exact structural formula after the reaction cannot yet be determined at the current research stage, it is thought that such reactions occur similarly between other organophosphorus insecticides and organic acid metal salts. . In other words, the present invention skillfully utilizes the above-mentioned reaction between an organophosphorus compound and an organic acid metal salt to provide termite control power for a surprisingly long period of time with a relatively low concentration of insecticide. It can be said that we have realized an anti-termite coating agent that exhibits the following properties. C. Effects of the present invention: The anti-termite coating agent of the present invention contains an organic phosphorus insecticide and an organic acid metal salt in a medium (liquid synthetic resin) that is easy to handle and has a controlled viscosity, so it can last for a very long time. In addition to exhibiting termite control power over a long period of time, it can be easily applied by even amateurs like conventional paints and oils, and the insecticide concentration is low, making it extremely safe for both work and living environments. It can be said that this is the most ideal technology to meet social demands for termite control. In addition, the coating liquid of the present invention is
It is also possible to use this as a colored paint by giving it a viscosity comparable to that of a normal paint and adding a pigment as appropriate. Hereinafter, the effects of the present invention will be explained using test examples. [Test Example] An anti-termite coating solution was prepared by mixing an organophosphorus insecticide and an organic acid metal salt in a polyurethane resin solution at the mixing ratio shown in Table 1, and this was applied to a 10 x 10 cm area. It was applied to lauan wood (thickness: 0.5 mm) and left in the open road (environmental conditions: left in the pine forest (national forest) of Hiokigunbukikamihama, Jinkojima Prefecture (April 15, 1980 - October of the same year) When we conducted a comparative test on the termite control ability of the termite (up to 15 days) and the termite that had not been exposed outdoors, the results shown in Tables 2 and 3 below were obtained. The table shows the termite control ability of coating liquids prepared without adding organic acid metal salts after outdoor exposure.
Items 1' to 6' correspond to test items ~ in Table 1 (the amount of organic phosphorus insecticide added is also the same).
