に6個のハブ爪15を等間隔に突設し、中央部に
軸受孔5を設け、周壁2の外周に軸方向のクラン
プ溝18を形成し、このクランプ溝にテープの端
部を挾んで弾性変形可能なクランプピースを圧入
係止し、テープの端部を係止するものである。こ
れらのリールはテープに対して悪影響を与えない
成形精度を必要とするが、リールは上記の如く径
方向に肉厚が一定しないにもかかわらず、熱収縮
する合成樹脂材で一体に射出成形されている。そ
のため第5図ロの如くリールの外周面に熱収縮変
形、いわゆるヒケによる凹み7が生じ、リールの
外周面が両端より中央部が凹む鼓状となる欠点が
あつた。上記の如くリール外周面が鼓状に凹む状
態でテープを巻取つた場合、テープはリールの外
周面に重なる状態で巻付けられるため、テープの
巻取りや巻戻しを繰返す程にテープ幅の両側に皺
が生じ、その皺が音質や画像に悪影響を与えた
り、テープの走行や巻取りに支障を与える等の不
都合があつた。これを防ぐには、テープ用リール
の成形後、その外周面に仕上げ加工を施し、リー
ル外周面の真円度、特に垂直度の精度を向上しな
