本発明は自動車等の排気ガス浄化ハニカムをケ
ーシング内に弾性的に支持すると同時にケーシン
グ内面とハニカム外周面間を排気ガスが通らない
ようにシールするようにした排気ガス浄化ハニカ
ム用シール部材付クツシヨン体の成形方法に関す

持する場合は第1図の如く3M社製インタラム
(商標)のような弾性を有し熱可膨張性のシール
部材1をケーシング2内面と、触媒を担持したハ
ニカム3外面との中間部に装着し、金属細線をメ
リヤス網した筒金網を圧縮成形したクツシヨン体
4,4を両端部に挿入支持していたが、シール部
材1とクツシヨン体4とが別々になつていたので
組付作業が面倒であり、又シール部材が直接排気
ガスにさらされるため飛散し易いという欠点があ
