This kind of synthetic chemical tatami flooring is not only lightweight and convenient to handle, but also hygienic as it does not attract insects, but on the other hand, it has several disadvantages compared to straw flooring. do. For example, a tatami floor has been proposed in which a cushion material layer is sewn or pasted onto a pressure-resistant plywood board.
When tatami mats are finished by covering the surface with tatami facing, the corners and edges of the stile are rounded, making it impossible to finish the edges neatly, and creating gaps between the stile and stile when laying the tatami. In addition to being unsightly and unsightly, the edges where the tatami hem fabric is sewn are also partially dug in by the tightening of the sewing thread, and the side edges hemmed with the tatami hem fabric are also pulled due to the tightening of the backstitch threads on the side edges. As a result, the tatami sag too much, and when the tatami mats are laid, there are also valleys at the edges, making it impossible to lay them neatly. In addition, there is also the unavoidable disadvantage that the tension of the sewing threads causes localized swelling on the tatami surface.

Semi-rigid synthetic boards made of hardened pulp, straw waste, etc. (commonly known as insulation boards), or shared use of these boards (for example, synthetic resin foam materials laminated with insulation boards), etc. can be used. The back side of the tatami floor main body 1 is lined with a floor lining sheet 2 made of a suitable material, such as a cloth fabric, a synthetic ribbon straw woven fabric, or a paper lining thereof.
On the upper surface of the main body 1, a pressure-resistant plate 3 made of plywood of a certain standard size with a thickness of about 3 mm is superimposed, and this plywood board 3 is placed together with the main body 1 and the floor lining sheet 2 in a sewing machine or a floor sewing machine. The base floor is formed by sewing (the sewing thread is represented by 4) and cutting to a predetermined size.

As will be described later, these square angle shaping strips 6, 6 are important for neatly shaping the square angle, and therefore have a certain degree of shape retention and can withstand repeated punctures with a flat needle. It is preferable that the material is unbreakable and can be cut with a processing knife. For this purpose, it is possible to use, for example, a tatami surface material, rushes tied together in layers, or these materials further covered with cloth. In this case, it is preferable that the direction in which the rushes are arranged is in the width direction of the strips 6, 6. Other materials such as paper laminated and glued can also be used.

These tatami edge lower zone pieces 5, 5 are strip-shaped pieces having a width of 40 to 45 mm, for example, and are made of a material with appropriate hardness and elasticity or elasticity for the tatami edge, and can be repeatedly stabbed with a flat needle and processed with a knife. Consists of materials that can be cut with. Regarding elasticity, it is preferable that elastic deformation of 0.7 to 1 mm is possible when pressed. Examples of materials for the tatami edge lower zone pieces 5, 5 include felt, carpet,
You can use linoleum, tatami mat covering material, or those lined with paper. When using paper-lined felt, etc., it is best to stick it with the paper lining side up and crush it a little to adjust the elasticity to the desired size.

This cushion material layer 7 provides appropriate elasticity or cushioning properties when its surface is covered with a tatami surface, and is made of a material having appropriate hardness and elasticity as desired. This cushion material layer 7 has a thickness of, for example, 2 to 3 mm, and is preferably elastically deformable by 0.7 to 2 mm when pressed. This cushion material layer 7
Suitable materials include rubber or synthetic rubber sponge, felt, and tatami mat. When the elastic deformation value of the cushion material layer 7 is 1 mm or less, the cushion material layer 7 is
The same material can be used. The cushion material layer 7 includes the aforementioned plywood pressure plate 3 and the main body 1.
Since they are sewn together, they can also be sewn together and fixed to a plywood pressure plate. In this case, since the thickness of the sewing thread on the base floor is usually about 1 mm, if the cushion material layer 7 that can be elastically deformed by about 1 mm or less is used, when it is sewn to the plywood pressure plate 3, even if the sewing thread is tightened. There is virtually no step difference in the surface.

By performing frame stitching 13 and reverse stitching 12, the tatami is finished as shown in FIG. When the tatami is finished, there is virtually no difference in level when you touch it from the surface.

るものである。 The tatami floor of the present invention has the above-mentioned configuration,
On the surface of the pressure plate 3 such as a plywood board, the side edge corresponding to the frame edge, the side edge corresponding to the tatami edge, and the main surface area in the center are made of different materials and have a hardness suitable for shaping the frame corner. 6, 6. The strip 5 with appropriate hardness and elasticity was used as the base for the tatami edge, and the cushion material layer 7 with appropriate elasticity and cushion was used as the main surface area of the tatami floor. By using the shaping strip 6, it is possible to neatly shape the corners of the frame, which is customary for tatami mats, and because the base strip 5, which has appropriate elasticity, is used at the edge of the tatami, the need for flat stitch sewing threads is reduced. There is no formation of undesirable abnormal protrusions due to the thickness and the double thickness of the tatami hem cloth, and the flat stitching threads do not dig in and make the tatami surface bulge. The cushion material layer 7 in the area can be provided with elasticity and cushioning properties that are tailored to suit individual needs. As described above, the tatami mat of the present invention eliminates the drawbacks of conventional lightweight chemical tatami mats, provides the same appearance and feel as straw tatami mats, and is lightweight and economical.
