材端末を基材側に若干折曲した状態で超音波溶着
装置の振動子の側面に折曲基部を当てがい、該振
動子の側面に沿わせて基材を降下させて前記折曲
基部が振動子の先端から外れたら前記積層表皮材
端末が未だ振動子の側面に支えられた状態のまま
該積層表皮材端末を圧板により基材の裏面に押圧
して該積層表皮材端末を基材裏面に巻き込んだう
え前記振動子により加圧し、超音波発振器を発振
させて基材裏面に積層表皮材端末を溶着すること
を特徴とするものである。

前記振動子をさらに降下させてその先端をもつて
積層表皮材端末を基材に向け加圧し、振動子の加
圧力が予め規定された設定圧力に達したとき超音
波発振器を発振させ、超音波出力制御装置により
発振出力を制御しながら基材裏面に積層表皮材端
末を溶着する。

端末処理法のような面倒な作業が不要で一貫した
製造工程の自動化が可能となるうえに超音波溶着
は高周波溶着のように受型に面する表皮表面に溶

装材は外観の優れたものとなるという効果があ
り、本発明は産業の発達に寄与するところ極めて
大なものである。

末を溶着することを特徴とする自動車用内装材の
端末処理法。
