Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable printing paper to be surely fed preventing a paper feed roller from wearing by racing a slip roller so as to prevent transmission of drive torque from a printer to the paper feed roller when friction torque not less than a predetermined value acts on the paper feed roller. CONSTITUTION:A paper feeder, when it is mounted to a printer, transmits drive torque to a paper feed roller 3 of an angular shaft 1, connecting a gear 2d, from the printer through a rotation transmitting system 2. A slip clutch 4 races when transmitted torque to the roller 3 increases to a value not less than the specified, that is, when printing paper is present in a hopper, the clutch 4 generates no racing for the printing paper in its feed torque, rotating with a gear 2a transmitting the torque to paper feed rollers 3a, 3b. るために設けである抑圧板と直接接触する。このため給
紙ローラの摩擦力が大きくなるが、給紙ローラは回転を
続けるので、給紙ローラの表面が摩耗し印字用紙の送出
が不確実なるという欠点がある。

2個の給紙ローラと、前記給紙ローラを支持して回転す
りを前記シャフトに伝達する歯車列を有する回転チを設
け、前記給紙ローラに所定の値以上の摩擦トルクがかか
ったとき前記滑りローラが空転して前記プリンタからの
駆動トルクが前記給紙ローラに伝達しないように構成し
たものである。

とができるため、給紙ローラがプレッシャプレートと直
接接触しながら回転するのを阻止して、給紙ローラの摩
耗を防止することができるという効果があり、従って給
紙ローラの摩耗による印字用紙の送出動作の誤動作を防
止した信頼性に優れた給紙装置が得られるという効果が
ある。
