点を解決するために、ロール組を固定せずに被圧
延材のまわりを自転させながら公転させるいわゆ
るプラネタリクロスミルが提案されているが、こ
の方法においても被圧延材の回転をなくすること
は極めて困難であり、圧延の進行とともに被圧延
材の回転数が変化するのが普通である。このよう
な傾斜ロール圧延機で圧延されている管棒を従来
