[Prior Art] Split conductor connections of submarine cables are made by exposing split conductors 11, 11 to a required length from the terminals of each cable to be connected, cutting the conductor terminals into tapered shapes, and butting them together, as shown in the fourth diagram. Either the ends of these butted conductors are welded together at the welding part 13 to connect them, or the ends 12 of the divided conductors of the same twist phase to be connected are connected by protruding them on the upper surface of the cable conductor, respectively, as shown in Figure 5. They were connected at a joint weld 13.

If the split conductors are welded together as described above, the effect of forming the cable conductor into split conductors will be lost, and the AC resistance value of the connection will increase due to skin action, resulting in local heat generation and deterioration. In addition, in a method in which all butt joints of the same twist phase are butt-connected on the top surface of the cable conductor, each divided conductor 11, 11 is exposed for a considerable length from the cable terminal, cut to match the re-twist pitch, and butt-welded. Therefore, the conductor connection length P
is the twisted pitch length of the divided conductor (1000 to 2000
mm), which has the disadvantage of making the connection part longer.

In addition, in order to reduce the thickness of the connection sleeve, the abutting joints of the split conductors are arranged so that they are not in the same cross section, and the split conductor cable connections are made by cutting the end faces of the conductors at right angles, abutting them, and connecting them with a compression sleeve. Kimiaki Sane
It is known from Japanese Patent No. 53-18551, and the terminals of each divided conductor are penciled and butted, and the valleys are filled with silver solder and welded all at once to prevent the diameter of the connection part from increasing and to prevent the loss of flexibility. A connection portion which is prevented from bending is known from Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 49-102293.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] The connection part connected by a compression sleeve as in the above-mentioned publication has a problem in that the diameter of the conductor connection part is larger than the diameter of the cable conductor. If the divided conductor terminals are formed into pencil shapes and butted together, even if the butt valleys are filled with silver solder, etc., the silver solder, etc. will melt down, making welding difficult, and the melted down silver solder, etc. There was a problem in that the material adhered to the butt joint located below, making it impossible to form a good joint.

[Means for Solving the Problems] In order to achieve the above object, the submarine cable split conductor connection method of the present invention exposes the split conductors constituting the cable conductor from the submarine cable connection terminal, and The butt portions of each divided conductor terminal are distributed in the longitudinal direction of the cable so as not to be located on the same circumferential line of the cable conductor,
The divided conductor terminals with the same twist phase of each divided conductor terminal are butted against each other, and the butted end faces of all opposing divided conductor terminals are formed into tapered end faces that open upward in a V-shape from the bottom surface to the top surface of the divided conductor. After cutting, the abutting portions of the ends of each divided conductor are welded and connected in the order from the abutting portion located on the lower side of the cable conductor to the abutting portion located on the upper side.

[Function] By butting and connecting the split conductor terminals with the same twist phase, the twist pitches at the connection parts are matched, and the butt parts of the split conductor terminals are not located on the same circumferential line of the cable conductor. By distributing the cable conductor, the length of the cable conductor connection portion does not need to be equal to the split conductor twisting pitch P shown in FIG. 5, and is shorter than the conventional connection portion.

In addition, by forming the butt end faces of each divided conductor terminal into a tapered end face that opens upward in a V-shape, it is possible to prevent the silver solder from burning through when the butt part is filled with silver solder etc. and welded and connected. , thus a good connection is formed.

In addition, when welding connections, by welding in the order from the butt part located on the lower side of the cable conductor to the butt part located on the upper side, the conductor above the butt part of the conductor that is currently being welded can be welded. Since the butt portion can be left open to the left and right, welding work can be performed easily and quickly without being obstructed by the upper conductor terminal.

[Effects of the Invention] As described above, the present invention provides a V-shaped tapered end face when the split conductor terminals of the same twist phase are butted so that the butt portions of the split conductor terminals are not located on the same circumferential line of the cable conductor. The butted parts of each split conductor terminal are connected by welding from the bottom to the top of the cable conductor, which makes it possible to shorten the length of the cable conductor connection part compared to the conventional method. In addition, there is no burn-through of silver solder etc. during welding, and therefore it is possible to easily form a good connection.
