There are two methods for spinning linen fiber: wet and dry.The wet method spins linen fibers in a wet state, and its purpose is to separate linen fibers into individual filaments, resulting in fine-count spinning. The purpose is to make it possible to spin yarn. That is, linen fibers are usually coarse and long fibers with a thickness of 30 to 40 deniers and a length of 20 to 70 cm; Since the single fibers are adhered to each other by adhesive substances such as pectin, lignin, hemicellulose, etc., the adhesive force of the adhesive substance is reduced by wetting the linen fibers, and then drafting is performed. By separating the linen fibers into individual single fibers, and increasing the number of these fibers, it is possible to spin a fine-count spun yarn.

Conventionally, in the wet spinning method of linen fiber,
A method for wetting linen fibers to reduce the adhesive strength of adhesive substances such as pectin, lignin, hemicellulose, etc. that bond single fibers to each other is as follows:
A method of treating twisted roving yarn from a roving machine with hot water is known. However, in this method, the temperature of the fibers of the roving is increased by hot water during treatment, so the adhesive force of the adhesive substance is reduced, but in the draft zone of the subsequent spinning process, the fibers of the roving cool and As the temperature of the roving becomes room temperature and lower, the adhesive force of the adhesive substance increases again, causing collective migration of fibers during drafting. Also, since the rovings are twisted, the drafting force in the wet state increases. It has the disadvantage that it becomes large and causes draft spots.

The present invention overcomes the above-mentioned drawbacks and provides a method for processing linen fibers, which enables uniform drafting of linen fibers in wet spinning by winding the linen sliver onto a bobbin in a substantially untwisted manner. This is the purpose.

1 and 2 show simplified side views of one embodiment of an apparatus for carrying out the method of the present invention,
First, use can 1 in the wet rubbing equipment shown in Figure 1.
A linen sliver 2 is stored in the box, and in order to moisten the linen sliver 2 and reduce the adhesive force of the adhesive substance, the linen sliver 2 is
is passed through guide rollers 6 and 7 in a water tank 5 via guide rollers 3 and 4, immersed in water 8 to moisten it, and then pulled up from the water tank 5 and passed through guide rollers 9 and squeezing rollers 10, 10'
After squeezing out excess water, the linen sliver 2 has no crimps and has poor cohesiveness, making it difficult to wind it into a bobbin in a non-twisted form by improving its cohesiveness and making it possible to wind the linen sliver into a non-twisted bobbin. In order to perform the rubbing, the linen sliver 2 is passed through the rubbing aprons 11, 11'. After rubbing, on the bobbin 13 driven by the drum 12,
The linen sliver 2 is wound up in a uniform, untwisted form without any disturbance.

Since the method of the present invention has the above configuration,
First, by soaking the linen sliver in water and moistening it, the adhesive force of the adhesive substance contained in the linen fiber is reduced, weakening the bonding force between each single fiber that forms the linen fiber, and dividing the linen sliver into fibers. Linen sliver is made easy to twist, and then rubbed with a rubbing apron or bobbiner to improve the convergence of the sliver. Conventionally, linen sliver does not have crimps, has poor convergence, and is difficult to wind into a bobbin in a non-twisted state. It is possible to wind the material onto a bobbin in a substantially untwisted manner without disturbance and evenly.

Since the linen sliver processed by the method of the present invention is a non-twisted linen sliver with highly improved cohesiveness, the sliver unwinds extremely well during drafting in the spinning process, and its drafting force is also excellent. Since the draft force is much smaller than that of twisted roving, it is possible to reduce sliver breakage, which was conventionally difficult in the wet spinning process, and it is possible to spin easily.

以下、本発明を実施例にて具体的に説明する。 Hereinafter, the present invention will be specifically explained with reference to Examples.

Example A drawn cut linen sliver (150 gel/6 yards) with an average fiber of 40 denier and an average fiber length of 110 mm was soaked in water using the wet rubbing device shown in Fig. 1 to moisten it, and then wound onto a bobbin while being rubbed. . Although the wound linen sliver was not twisted, it was well bundled and the bobbin winding form was good. Next, the wound linen sliver was treated with a caustic soda aqueous solution having a concentration of 0.5% by weight and a temperature of 95° C. for 1 hour. Next, using the spinning device shown in Figure 2, the pre-draft is 5 times the main draft and the main draft is 9 times the draft, false-twisted, dried at 250°C, and wound at 100 m/min to produce yarn with a yarn count of 42's. I got it. The number of threads cut during this spinning was 0.7 threads/weight/hour, and the number of threads cut was small and the spinning quality was good.
