に設けられたレール9に車輪10を介して載置さ
れ、夫々搭載したモータにより各別に移動可能で
ある。前記固定棚1,2及び可動棚3〜7は、固
定棚間方向と直交する方向に複数列(本実施例で
は2列)設けられており、この間に柱11が位置
している。すなわち前記固定棚1,2及び可動棚
3〜7は柱11を避けて2個一組で設けられてお
り、一組の可動棚3のうち一方には主制御盤12
が、また他方の可動棚3ならびに他の組の全部の
可動棚4〜7には副制御盤13がそれぞれ設置さ
れている。これら制御盤12,13は移動を制御
するためのもので、給電や信号授受のためのケー
ブル14により互いに連結されている。前記各組
の可動棚3〜7のうちの一方には、副操作箱15
がそれぞれ設置されており、さらに一組の可動棚
3のうちの一方には主操作箱16が設置されてい
る。これら操作箱15,16は可動棚3〜7の移
動操作を行なうためのもので、前記制御盤12,
13と図外のケーブルにより接続されている。前
記各可動棚3〜7には、隣接する棚1〜7を検出
して走行規制するための走行規制検出器17とし
て、反射型の光電式スイツチが可動棚走行方向に
対して所定角度傾斜して設置されている。

制検出器17が動作しているので勿論走行しな
い。このように例えば可動棚5の一方に設置され
た副操作箱15の走行起動用操作スイツチの操作
により双方の可動棚5が同時に走行を開始するの
であるが、各可動棚5は積荷等の影響で必ずしも
常に同じ速度で移動するとは限らないので、停止
動作は各別に行われる。すなわち双方の可動棚5
が固定棚1方向へ移動して、可動棚4に所定距離
(例えば200mm)まで接近すると、各可動棚4に設
置された走行規制検出器17が各別にこれを検出
し、これにより可動棚5の副制御盤13に走行停
止信号が供給されて各可動棚5は各別に停止す
る。したがつて双方の可動棚5は互いの走行速度
のバラツキに関係なく可動棚4と所定の間隔を保
つて停止する。同様に可動棚6,7が順次固定棚
