Description
【発明の詳細な説明】
本願発明は、タイプライターの印字機構におい
て、タイプバーピースの摺動と連動して活字の保
持、緊咬を行なう装置に関するもので、その目的
は、印字途上および印字後復帰途上における活字
の脱落を防止することにより、高速印字を可能に
するものである。本発明の更に他の目的は、印字
直前に弱い力で活字を強く緊咬することにより印
字ブレを防止し、更に、記録紙上の印字の行、列
を正確に規制すると共に印字機構全体として、印
字トルク変動が少ないいわゆる印字圧調整の容易

従来、この種の印字装置においては第1図に示
す通りタイプバー1にタイプバーピース2が矢印
x方向に摺動可能に支持され活字3を緊咬してい
る。4は入力カムで、カム支ピンを中心にして回
動可能であり図示しないタイプバー支軸、ベース
等と一体的に構成される。この印字装置において
は、駆動装置により入力カム4を矢印Y方向に回
動させ、プラテン上の記録紙に印字を行ない、そ
の反力およびバー復帰バネで復帰させる様に構成
されている。このため、印字寸前又は印字後、駆
動装置の駆動力が解除されると、入力カム4が自
由な状態になるため、タイプバーピース2が活字
3を押える力を失い、振動、調整不良等の要因を
も含めて活字の脱落を生じる。また当然、高速印
字のための復帰用駆動装置では、入力カム4を矢
印Y方向と逆方向に駆動することもできない。ま
た印字する瞬間まで入力カム4を矢印Y方向に付
勢せねば活字3を緊咬できず、(活字3を緊咬し
なければ記録紙上で印字ズレ、行、列の不揃い等
が生じる。)このため印字圧調整が複雑になつて

以上の様な欠点を解決するため、更に第2図に
示す様な活字の保持、緊咬装置が提案されてい
る。脱落防止カム6は、カム支ピン5、および図
示しないタイプバー支軸、ベース等と一体的に構
成され、又揺動カム7は脱落防止カム6上の揺動
カム支ピン9を回転の支点とし、バネ掛けピン1
1,11間に設けられた加圧バネ8により、揺動
カムガイドピンに当接するまで付勢されている。
一方タイプバーピース2上に突起2′が設けられ、
この突起2′は活字3の保持状態において、脱落
防止カム6外周部に対し若干の隙間Sを有する。
このため印字途上および印字後復帰途上における
活字3は突起2′が脱落防止カム6で規制される
ため脱落しない。また印字寸前に突起2′が揺動
カム7により付勢され活字3を緊咬する。しかし
この様な印字装置においては、活字3の緊咬を強
めるために加圧バネ8を強くすると印字直前に揺
動カム7により矢印Y方向と反対方向の大きな回
転負荷が加わる。一方このような印字装置では可
動部(タイプバー1、タイプバーピース2、活字
3等)の運動エネルギ(質量と角速度の2乗の
積)を利用するものであるので、印字圧を調整す
ることはタイプバー1の角速度を制御することと
同義である。従がつて、回転負荷が生じることは
タイプバー1を減速させるので、印字圧調整誤差
が生じやすく、場合によつては印字圧調整が困難

アーム案内溝16′にタイプバー2上の突起2′が
挿入される。加圧アーム16上には、更に加圧ロ
ーラ軸17が設けられ、これを中心にして加圧ロ
ーラ18が回転自在に挿入され、且つ活字保持状
態において加圧ローラ18外周面が、脱落防止カ
ム6外周面と若干のスキマSを有する様構成され
る。一方カム支ピン5を中心に回動可能に設けら
れた揺動カム7は、揺動カムガイドピン10で規
制された範囲を揺動する様設けられ、更に脱落防
止カム6に固定されたピン11と揺動カム7間に
設けられた加圧バネ8により矢印Yと逆方向に付
勢される。なお19はタイプバーピース2の復帰
用バネでピース復帰バネ、20は軸受で特にアン
ギユラベアリングを用いた。21はバー復帰バ
ネ、22はボール受け、23はスラスト方向のガ

き、第4図の状態となる。更に入力カム4が駆動
装置により矢印Y方向へ付勢されつづけると、タ
イプバー1、タイプバーピース2、活字3の関係
はそのままで、タイプバー支軸12を回転中心に
回動しはじめ、第5図の状態となる。なおこの
時、加圧ローラ18の外周面と、脱落防止カム7
の外周面には若干のスキマSを有している。この
スキマSは当然タイプバーピース2が活字ネツキ
部3′に入り込むストロークより小さくすること
により、活字3の脱落を防ぐ。入力カム4が更に
回動すると揺動カム7が脱落防止カム6より突出
ているため、印字タイミングとしては印字寸前に
加圧ローラ18が揺動カム7の突出部に当る。こ
のため、揺動カム7も加圧ローラ18と共に、す
なわちタイプバー1、タイプバーピース2、活字
3等と共に回動し、第6図に至る。この時、加圧
バネ8の力が弱ければ弱い程、入力カム4に加わ
る負荷トルク変動が小さくなるが、活字3の緊咬
力は加圧バネ8の力が弱くとも、揺動カム7と加
圧ローラ18のクサビ効果で数倍に増幅され、か

ルク変動が少ないので微妙な印字圧調整が可能と
なり、印字圧調整方式も例えば入力カム駆動装置
を時間制御することにより調整する等が可能とな
り、且つ記録紙上の印字ブレ、印字の行、列方向
の不揃が防止される等きわめて実用上効果が大き
