This type of device is used for the purpose of promoting or inhibiting the growth of specific plants under desired environmental conditions.
Or used for the purpose of conducting various tests on plant cultivation. Examples of environmental items to be controlled include:
These include temperature, humidity, illuminance, carbon dioxide concentration, and soil conditions. Among these items, it is most preferable to utilize natural light as much as possible for illuminance in terms of plant growth.
Regarding temperature and humidity, it is preferable to forcefully circulate the desired conditioned air inside the plant growth chamber. The circulating flow of the harmonized airflow reproduces the ventilation conditions found in nature and maintains a uniform indoor environment.

The figure is a schematic longitudinal cross-sectional view of the environmental control device for plants according to the present invention. In the figure, a plant growth chamber 10 has a rectangular floor surface 12, a side wall 14 whose upper half is made of a transparent member, and a gable-shaped roof 16 made of a transparent member. The plant 28 to be grown can be accommodated indoors.

On both sides of the ridge of the room 10, conditioned air outlets 18 are arranged in parallel and facing positions. This outlet 1
8 is preferably provided continuously in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the paper, and blows conditioned air upward to form an air curtain. The floor surface 12 is constituted by a perforated plate and forms a suction surface for conditioned air.

The basement part of this plant growth room 10, that is, the lower part of the floor surface 12 is a conditioned air duct area 20.
The conditioned air is blown out from the main duct 22, through the connecting duct 24, and from the outlet 18. Further, the air sucked from the floor surface 12 is introduced into an air conditioner (not shown), where the temperature, humidity, and carbon dioxide concentration are adjusted.
The air is circulated and supplied as conditioned air.

In the above configuration, the conditioned air blown upward from the air outlet 18 rises along the slope of the ridge side wall 14 and the roof 16 of the room 10, and in the process of rising, some of the air branches and descends. form a flow. An adjustment plate 26 is provided at a predetermined position on the roof 16 so that the conditioned air can be adjusted to flow downward. This adjusting plate 26 is made of a transparent member. Furthermore, since the floor surface 12 is formed with a suction surface, the conditioned air guided downward by the adjusting plate 26 can be reliably guided to the floor surface. Therefore, by attaching the adjusting plates 26, 26, . . . to desired positions, the adjusted air from the outlet 18 forms a uniform downward airflow distribution 30 with respect to the cross section of the chamber. For this reason, 28 plants housed indoors
Provide uniform ventilation conditions to maintain uniform temperature and humidity.

In the figure, one pair of adjustment plates 26 are provided on the sloped surface of the roof, but if necessary, a plurality of pairs of adjustment plates 26 may be provided by changing the shape and dimensions. Further, since the distribution 30 of the downdraft changes slightly depending on the amount of circulation of the conditioned air, in other words, the rising speed of the conditioned air blown out from the outlet 18, the adjustment plate 2
6, it is preferable that the set angle can be adjusted manually or automatically.

First, since the conditioned air outlet and inlet are located at the lower part of the room, their presence
It does not become an obstacle to the introduction of natural light into the plant growth room. Therefore, it is possible to achieve both natural lighting and air conditioning under favorable conditions.

Second, the conditioned air is blown out from both sides of the ridge of the room to form an air curtain, makes a U-turn at the top of the room, and is sucked into the entire surface through the holes in the floor, resulting in a uniform downdraft distribution of the conditioned air. Easy to get. Therefore, uniform temperature and humidity can be maintained for the plants to be grown. This effect is further reinforced by providing the adjustment plate 26.

Thirdly, the direction of ventilation of the conditioned air toward the plants becomes a downward draft, making it possible to almost reproduce natural ventilation conditions. For this reason, the root drying phenomenon is less likely to occur compared to ventilation using upward air currents, which has been attempted with conventional devices.

In the above embodiments, the plant growth chamber has a rectangular cross section and a gable roof, but the present invention is not limited thereto, and the cross section may be circular or hexagonal, for example. Alternatively, the roof may have a single roof structure, and the air outlet may be provided only on one side of the room.

As described above, according to the present invention, it is possible to uniformly and favorably provide ventilation conditions for forcedly circulated conditioned air to plants in a plant growing room, and maintain uniform temperature and humidity. Also, natural light
Plants can be harvested from the entire outer circumferential surface of the plant growth chamber without any hindrance. Therefore, the plant environment control device according to the present invention is particularly effective in applications such as comparative testing of plant growth conditions under strict conditions.
