射光によつて駐車中の自動車の存在を知らせるよ
うにしてある。しかしながら、この反射テープ3
による接触事故防止策では、あくまで光源による
照射を前提にしているので、自動車が減灯走行し
ている場合や曲り角付近での駐車の際には、前照
灯の光が反射テープ3に充分に当たらず、充分な
反射光が得られないので、夜間駐車時の事故防止
策としては不充分であつた。(実開昭55−176846
号公報参照) 本発明は、以上に述べたような従来の夜間駐車
時の事故を防止するため遠方からも駐車中の自動
車の存在を確実に認識させることができるモール
デイングの構造を提案するものであつて、本発明
はモールデイング本体の内部に面発光体を内蔵さ
せ、夜間駐車時にこの発光体を光輝させることに
より、駐車された自動車の存在を認識させ、外力
の作用から面発光体を充分に保護できる構造を提
案するものである。

の断面を拡大して示す第5図から理解されるよう
に、透明の防湿包囲体7中に収容される積層状態
の透明電極層6a、発光体層6b、補強層6c、
背面電極層6dからなり、前記透明電極層6a及
び背面電極層6dに結線されたリード線8は、防
湿包囲体7の端部7aからモールデイング本体2
の底壁2a及び車体外板パネルBを貫通して車体
外板パネルBの内部に導出される。このエレクト
ロルミネツセンス素子6は透明電極層6a側を透
明カバー4に向けた状態で透明カバー4と補強板
