(Prior Art) A steering switch device is configured such that various operation switches are provided on a pad disposed in the center of a steering wheel, and signals are sent and received between the operation switches and a control computer fixed to the vehicle body. When using light for signal transmission, a connection structure for transmitting signals is required between the steering wheel, which is a rotating part, and the steering column, which is a fixed part. Conventionally, optical slip rings have been used for such connection structures.

According to the configuration of the gears 11a-1, 2a-1, the planetary gear member 14, etc., when the steering wheel 1 is rotated, the pad 2 rotates in the opposite direction to the steering wheel 1 by the same number of rotations. Therefore, the pad 2 remains stationary with respect to the fixed side of the vehicle body, and the light transmitting section 12 and the light receiving end 4a, and the light receiving section 13 and the light emitting end 4b are always kept facing each other.

In this way, light can be sent and received through the gaps between the light transmitting section 12 and the light input end 4a and between the light receiving section 13 and the light output end 4b. However, since the spoke portions 1c of the steering wheel 1 may block the gap between the two, in consideration of this, the light guide path 15 is provided at a light-blocking location of each spoke portion.

A cylindrical body 18 having a flange 18a surrounding the entire circumference of b is fixed to the boss portion 1b with screws 19.
These cylindrical bodies 16 and 18 are covers that have a light shielding effect. These cylinders 16 and 18 prevent external light from affecting the light transmitting section 12, light receiving section 13, light input end 4a, and light output end 4b, or prevent light from the light transmitting section 12, etc. from leaking to the outside. It can be prevented.

In the above, the light transmitting section 12 and the light receiving section 13 are provided inside the optical transmitting/receiving section case 11, and as shown in FIG. placed in opposite positions on both sides. With such a configuration, the central part A of the steering shaft 6 etc. is disposed in one unit and is interposed between the light transmitting part 12 and the light receiving part 13, thereby making the light transmitting part 12 and the light receiving part Optical interference of the portion 13 can be avoided. Note that 20 in FIGS. 1 and 3 is a light guiding member that guides light to the light input end 4a or guides an optical signal from the light output end 4b in the light transmitting section 12 and the light receiving section 13. However, this light guide member 20 is not necessarily required.

(Effect of the invention) As is clear from the above explanation, according to the present invention,
In a steering switch device comprising a light transmitting part and a light receiving part between a fixed pad and a side fixed to the vehicle body,
Since the light transmitting section and the light receiving section are arranged on opposite sides of the steering shaft section, optical interference between the light transmitting section and the light receiving section can be prevented and the accuracy of the optical signal can be increased. can be retained.
