As is known, in a light table, a light source is placed below the base plate, and the light source illuminates the base plate from below, making the base plate surface extremely bright. This makes it easier to do detailed writing, drawing, etc., and the work paper placed on the base plate becomes transparent, which is suitable for adjusting the weight of images on stacked work papers, so it can be used over a wide range of areas. It's being used.

Among them, it is often used in photoengraving work. For example, it can be used as a workbench for opaque painting to fill in pinholes that appear on transparent original film photographed with a camera, and it can also be used as a workbench for opaque painting to fill in the pinholes that appear on transparent original film taken with a camera. It is also an indispensable workbench for checking whether the characters are standing upright, whether each line is skewed, whether the initial letters of each line are aligned correctly, etc.

By the way, by shining light from below the base plate, you can see through the paper placed on the base plate.
As mentioned above, it is suitable for checking whether the characters are erect and the lines are slanted (hereinafter, these tasks are collectively referred to as "character image alignment work"), but this work is currently It's next time.

In other words, place the desired work paper (for example, a film with characters or images on it) on the base plate,
Utilizing a paper material (hereinafter referred to as "base material for shaping"), which is usually called a mount for layout, and is made up of a large number of parallel straight lines arranged vertically and horizontally at minute intervals, Layer this on the work paper.

Then, the characters and images on the work paper can be seen through this base material for body shaping, so a straight line on the base material for body shaping is arbitrarily selected and used as the baseline for body shaping, and the characters and images are placed on this base line for body shaping. It is created by combining images, etc.

So, for example, if you find that a certain character is slanted and you want to correct it, first remove the alignment base material, then cut out the character part from the work paper. While making slight adjustments to the inclination, I reattached it using transparent tape, placed the base material on the work paper again, and checked to see if it was completely erect.

Even through such procedures, it is ultimately possible to achieve the work objectives. However, when making fine adjustments to the inclination, there is no physical way to check whether the product is completely erect, so this must be done by eye, making it difficult to increase the accuracy of the adjustment process and requiring redoing the work. It has become an extremely troublesome task, with consequences that are forced upon it.

As described above, the character image adjustment work that is currently being done using a light table is not at all desirable, as it has poor work efficiency, low work efficiency, and lacks work accuracy. However, using a light table for this task may be the only best option.

Based on the above points, the present inventor has made various studies and has found that if the light table itself is improved and configured to be suitable for character image adjustment work, the current problems associated with character image adjustment work will be solved at once. I came up with the idea that this could be solved, so I came up with the idea of arranging a large number of parallel straight lines in the vertical and horizontal directions at minute intervals on the base plate itself, which corresponds to the above-mentioned orthopedic base material. However, we have come to the conclusion that simply having this structure alone will cause inconvenience in the following cases.

In other words, as mentioned earlier, the light table is suitable and indispensable for tasks such as opaque painting, which is used to fill in pinholes in transparent original film. If a large number of straight lines or other marks are arranged in the horizontal direction, pinholes in the film will overlap with the straight lines or marks, resulting in a major hindrance to the opaque painting process.

Therefore, the present invention was devised as a result of further study taking this point into consideration.
Depending on the purpose of the work, for example, when a standard straight line or a standard size display mark is required on the base plate surface, such as for character image adjustment work, a large number of parallel straight lines or Alternatively, it is possible to make a standard size display mark appear on the base plate surface, while for other operations such as opaque painting, it is possible to make this straight line disappear from the base plate surface and leave the base plate surface plain. The present invention provides a light table that is designed to be easily used, and is therefore the easiest to use depending on the work content, and improves work efficiency and work accuracy at the same time.

In the present invention, a large number of parallel straight lines are formed in the vertical and horizontal directions at minute intervals on the surface of a base plate substrate such as frosted glass, or a standard size display mark, etc. is formed using a photochromic material. This is covered with an ultra-thin strong transparent sheet to form a base plate, and furthermore, in addition to the usual light source, a light source for coloring the straight lines formed by the photochromic material is installed. The present invention will now be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings showing one embodiment of the present invention.

Each figure shows an embodiment of the light table according to the present invention. Figure 1 is a top view of the light table when a normal light source is turned on, and Figure 2 is a top view of the light table when an ultraviolet light source is turned on.・Top view of the table,
Fig. 3 is an enlarged vertical cross-sectional view of the base plate section taken along line A-A in Fig. 2, and Fig. 4 is a view showing the light source section. By turning on switch 10, ultraviolet light lamp 1
When the ultraviolet light lamp 1 is turned on, a large number of parallel straight lines 3 appear in the vertical and horizontal directions at minute intervals on the surface of the base plate 2, as shown in the second figure, and this ultraviolet light lamp 1
When the fluorescent light 4 is turned on by turning off the fluorescent light source switch 40 and turning on the fluorescent light source switch 40, the straight line 3 has disappeared, so the base plate 2 is completely blank, as shown in the first figure. More specifically, in the present invention, a large number of parallel straight lines 3 are formed in the vertical and horizontal directions on the surface of the frosted glass plate 20, which forms the base plate substrate, with a photochromic substance. Furthermore, by covering the entire surface of the frosted glass plate 20 with an extremely thin strong transparent sheet 5 made of plastic, the straight line 3 is prevented from being broken during work.

Therefore, photochromic substances develop color when exposed to ultraviolet light, and when the ultraviolet light is turned off, the color developed fades when exposed to light such as natural light, daylight fluorescent light, sunlight, or heat. Therefore, as mentioned above, if the ultraviolet light lamp 1 is turned on, the straight line 3 will appear colored as shown in the second diagram, and if the ultraviolet light lamp 1 is turned off and the fluorescent lamp 4 is turned on, the straight line 3 will become colored. This allows the base plate 2 to be used in a completely plain state as shown in the first figure.

In this way, if the light source for revealing the straight lines 3, that is, the ultraviolet light lamp 1, is turned on, a large number of straight lines 3 will appear on the base plate 2, so in this state, the above-mentioned character image adjustment work can be carried out. If you do this, you won't need any base material for cosmetic surgery at all,
Moreover, since fine adjustments such as the inclination of characters can be made using this straight line 3 as a reference, it is possible to improve work efficiency and work accuracy at the same time.

On the other hand, when you want to eliminate the straight line 3, such as during opaque painting work, by turning off the ultraviolet light lamp 1 and turning on the fluorescent lamp 4, the straight line 3 that has appeared will disappear.
Since the second surface of the base plate is completely plain as shown in the first figure, these operations can be carried out appropriately.

Now, the so-called layout work, in which printed letters, photographs, etc. (hereinafter referred to as "layout objects") are pasted onto a mount at the required placement position, is currently done by preparing a suitably sized blank sheet of paper and pasting it onto the mount. Then, depending on each standard size (B5 size, A4 size, B4 size, etc.), for example, if the target size is A4 size,
Using a ruler and writing utensils, draw a frame that corresponds to the predetermined A4 size, then draw the necessary lines for the layout, and paste the layout object using the lines as a reference. ,
The method involves purchasing a commercially available layout mount, temporarily fixing this layout mount to the mount surface, and pasting the layout object onto this.According to the former method, the work is complicated and the workability is extremely low. According to the latter, there are many problems such as the financial burden of having to go through the trouble of purchasing expensive layout sheets.

Therefore, in the present invention, as shown in FIG. 2, a standard size display mark 6 corresponding to each standard size is formed so as to be visible in addition to the straight line 3. By lighting the ultraviolet light lamp 1, the standard size display mark 6 is made to appear together with the straight line 3, and the appropriate blank paper prepared for the mount is placed in the desired size of the standard size display mark 6. All you have to do is temporarily fix it to the base plate 2 in line with the display mark 6, confirm the peripheral frame by the standard size display mark 6 that can be seen through the blank paper, and paste the layout object based on the straight line 3. , it is possible to perform simple, quick, and accurate assignment work.

The purpose of this standard format display mark 6 can be achieved by displaying it only on a very small portion of the base plate 2, so if this mark 6 does not appear to be a major hindrance to opaque painting work, etc. It may be formed of a substance (paint, etc.) that maintains the state displayed on the base plate 2 at all times.
