Description
本発明は、磁気デイスク媒体上へ可動型の磁気
ヘツドにより信号を書込みあるいは読出しを行わ
せる装置に関する。
一般に磁気デイスク媒体の実験・評価や磁気ヘ
ツドの実験・評価を詳細に行うためには、磁気ヘ
ツドを数10mmにわたつて駆動し、かつ高精度に位
置決めが可能な駆動機構が必要である。従来この
種の装置の磁気ヘツドの駆動および位置決め機構
には、ボイスコイル型リニアモータを用い、可動
部の一部に取付けられた速度センサからの速度信
号と可動部の一部に取付けられた位置センサから
の位置信号をフイードバツクするサーボループを
組む方式が取られていた。しかしサーボループの
構成では、可動部の総質量が変わつたり前記速度
センサや前記位置センサの検出感度が変わるとル
ープ内の各定数を計算し直し最適値を算出する必
要があつた。また可動部の経年変化等により負荷
条件が変わるとサーボループ特性が変わりループ
発振を起こして位置決め不可能となることが多か
つた。一方、サーボループ制御を使わずにパルス
モータと送りネジによるオープンループ式の駆動
および位置決め機構では、構成は簡単ではあるが
1μm以下の高精度な位置決めができず磁気デイ
スクへの信号書込装置としては十分な精度が得ら
れないという欠点があつた。
本発明の目的は、上述のような欠点を除去し簡
易な構成でしかも高精度に磁気ヘツドの位置決め
が可能な信号書込装置を提供することにある。
本発明の信号書込装置は、磁気デイスク媒体上
に信号を記録する磁気ヘツドと、前記磁気ヘツド
と可動部とが連結し圧電素子の電歪効果で生ずる
微少変位を繰返すことにより可動部を動かす駆動
体と、前記磁気ヘツドの移動量を検出する位置セ
ンサと、前記位置センサの出力信号を監視し前記
磁気ヘツドを所定位置に位置決めすべく前記駆動
体に駆動指令を出力する論理制御部とから構成さ
れる。
次に、本発明の実施例について、図面を参照し
て説明する。第1図は本発明の一実施例を示すブ
ロツク図であつて、1は論理制御部、2は圧電素
子駆動電圧発生部、3は圧電素子を内蔵した駆動
体、4は磁気ヘツド、5は位置センサ、6は位置
センサの出力信号をデジタル量に変換するデータ
変換回路、7は記録信号の書込読出回路である。
論理制御部1は、位置センサ5により検出した磁
気ヘツド4の位置信号をデータ変換回路6を通し
てデジタル量として読取り、この値と次に位置決
めすべき磁気ヘツド4の目標位置との間で比較を
行い、例えば現在の磁気ヘツドの位置が目標位置
の手前にあれば前進の指令を、逆に目標位置の先
にあれば後退の指令を圧電素子駆動電圧発生部2
に出力する。圧電素子駆動電圧発生部2は、論理
制御部1からの指令に基づき駆動体3に内蔵した
圧電素子に駆動電圧を印加する。駆動体3の駆動
原理の一例を第2図に示す。10は円柱状の可動
部、11および12は印加電圧により収縮して可
動部10を把握するリング状圧電素子、13は圧
電素子11および12と連なり印加電圧により圧

に電歪効果を利用した駆動体を用いることにより
可動部の負荷特性等の変化にも発振を起こさずに
安定しかつ高精度な位置決めが可能となる。ま

成が簡単になる上、アナログ量の処理が減少しデ
ジタル量の処理が主となるため制御方法が簡便に
