発明の目的

性の向上を図ることが可能な自動車用ウエザース
トリツプ構造を提供することを目的とするもので

ルト部が展開状態で押し出し成形した後、前記断
面形状に屈曲成形されるウエザーストリツプにお
いて、前記シールリツプの突設基部とウエルト部
の外周面間に、前記展開状態で空洞状であつて、
屈曲成形時に前記屈曲部の変形に伴つて閉塞され

れたフランジに嵌合するためのウエルト部12を
備えている。該ウエルト部12はソリツドゴムで
成形されており、又等間隔に切り込み13が形成
された金属製の芯材14が埋設されている。該ウ
エルト部12の外周面には、シールリツプ15が
突設されており、該シールリツプ15は表層16
とともにスポンジゴムで成形されている。このシ
ールリツプ15の突設基部と、ウエルト部12の
外周面間には、屈曲部12aに沿つて中空部17
が形成されている。該中空部17は、第3図に示
したようにウエルト部12が展開された状態にお
いて、空洞Hを形成し、第4図に示したようにウ
エルト部12を断面U字状に屈曲成形した際、ウ
エルト部12の屈曲部12aの変形に伴つて、前
記空洞Hを閉塞してスリツトSを成形する形状に

めのスポンジゴムとを三重押出成形し、第3図に
示したウエルト部12が展開状の成形品を得る。
このとき前記中空部13は、この押し出し成形時
に、前記空洞Hが生ずるように成形する。次にこ
れによりウエルト部12内に埋設された芯材14
を、切り込み13より分断する。さらに次のベン
ダー加工行程において、第4図に示したようにウ
エルト部12を断面略U字状に屈曲成形する。こ
のとき中空部17は、前述のようにウエルト部1
2の屈曲部12bに沿つて、成形されていること
から、屈曲成形に伴う該屈曲部12部の膨出に伴
つて序々に閉塞される。そしてこの屈曲成形が終
了すると中空部17は、スリツトS状となり、前
述したイ,ロ方向への張力は、この中空部17の
変形によつて吸収される。よつて芯材14の屈曲
線が一定の線上から変位し、これに起因して前
イ,ロ方向への張力にアンバランスとなつても、
シールリツプ15の突設方向が一定の線上から変
位してしまうことを防止することができる。よつ
てこのシールリツプ15の突設方向の変位によ
り、シール反力、シール面の不均一となることを
防止し、シール特性の向上を図ることができるの

突設基部とウエルト部の外周面間に、ウエルト部
が展開状態で空洞状であつて、該ウエルト部屈曲
成形の変形に伴つて閉塞される中空部を設け、該
中空部の変形によつて前記屈曲成形時にシールリ
ツプの基端部に生ずる、張力の均衝を得るように
した。よつてウエルト部の屈曲部が一定の線上か
ら変位した状態で屈曲成形されても、シールリツ
プの突設方向を一定の線上に維持することができ
る。よつてシールリツプのシール反力、シール面
を常に一定の線上に保つことができ、シール特性
