Generally, a silencer is attached to the cylinder head of an air compressor. As shown in FIG. 1, during normal operation, this muffler has an air intake/discharge port 3 of a lid 2 provided at one end of the muffler main body 1.
This air is further passed through a filter 5 between the pipe member 4 and the lid 2 in the muffler main body 1,
The pipe member 4 is sucked into the cylinder of the air compressor through the communication hole 6 of the pipe member 4, the pipe member 4, and a pipe (not shown) connecting the pipe member 4 and the cylinder head of the air compressor. In this case, the muffler main body 1 acts as a resonator to muffle the noise, and during unloading operation, oil-containing air from the cylinder head flows through the pipe between the pipe member and the cylinder head, the pipe member 4, the communication hole 6, and the filter. 5 and flows out from the air suction and discharge port 3, and oil is separated from the air in the pipe member 4. This oil drips through the hole 7 at the bottom of the pipe member 4 and accumulates at the bottom of the silencer body 1, where the oil It is made to be discharged from the discharge port 8.

The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned circumstances, and its purpose is to prevent the oil accumulated in the lower part of the muffler body from scattering, thereby preventing the filter from getting wet with oil. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a silencer that can extend the life of the machine.

Hereinafter, one embodiment of the present invention will be described based on FIG. 2. In FIG. 2, reference numeral 11 indicates a muffler main body having a cylindrical shape with a bottom, and a screw 12 is formed on the outer periphery of one end of the muffler main body 11. Further, a lid 14 in which a plurality of air suction/exhaust ports 13 are formed is screwed onto the outer periphery of one end of the muffler main body 11 . A protrusion 15 is formed in the center of the lid 14 and protrudes toward the muffler main body 11 side. 16 is an O-ring.

A pipe member 17 is provided within the muffler main body 11. One end side of this pipe member 17 is connected to the lid 1
The diameter of the receiving portion 18 is expanded in a tapered shape so that the diameter gradually increases as the diameter approaches 4. This receiving part 18 is fitted into the inner periphery of one end of the silencer main body 11, and one end side of the pipe member 17 is connected to the air intake/discharge port 1.
They are communicated via a filter 22, which will be described later in 3. A threaded portion 17a is formed on the other end side of the pipe member 17, and this threaded portion 17a is connected to the silencer main body 11.
This bottom part 11a is screwed to the other end side bottom part 11a.
It passes through and communicates with the outside. A resonance chamber 19 is formed in the muffler main body 11 by the pipe member 17, and a plurality of holes 20 communicating with the resonance chamber 19 are formed in the peripheral wall of the pipe member 17. The hole 20 located on the lid 14 side of the pipe member 17 is oriented along the enlarged diameter portion of the pipe member 17, that is, the receiving portion 18. Further, the direction of the hole 20 located on the other end side of the pipe member 17, that is, on the bottom 11a side, is such that the opening on the outer peripheral side of the pipe member 17 is closer to the bottom 11a of the silencer body 11 than the opening on the inner peripheral side of the pipe member 17. It is said that the direction inclines so that it approaches .

Therefore, during normal operation of the air compressor, air is sucked in from the air suction and discharge port 13, and this air is further removed from the plate 21, the filter 22, and the pipe member 17.
The air is sucked into the cylinder of the air compressor through a pipe screwed into the threaded portion 17a. In the pipe member 17, the inside of the muffler main body 11 becomes a resonance chamber, and the sound is muffled.

Further, during unloading operation, air containing oil from the cylinder head flows into the pipe member 17 through the pipe screwed into the threaded portion 17a, and the oil contained in this air is separated from this air. It drips through the hole 20 at the bottom of the pipe member 17.

On the other hand, the air flowing into the pipe member 17 mainly moves in the direction of the broken line arrow A in FIG.
1. The air flows out from the air suction and discharge port 13 through the filter 22. Note that a part of the air in the pipe member 17 passes through the hole 20 and reaches the bottom 11a of the muffler body 11 and the receiving part 18 as shown by solid line arrows B and C in FIG.
It ejects in the direction along. Therefore, pipe member 1
The oil dripping from the hole 20 of 7 accumulates at the lower part of the muffler main body 11, but this oil pool is driven to the lower central part of the muffler main body 11 by the air flow in the directions of arrows B and C. Therefore, the oil dripping from the hole 20 of the pipe member 17 is prevented from accumulating in the lower part of the muffler body 11 in the vicinity of the filter 22, and
To prevent oil wetting in step 2 and fully demonstrate the filter effect. Note that the muffler main body 11, the lid 14, and the pipe member 17 can be molded from a synthetic resin material.

Further, according to this embodiment, since the lid 14 and the pipe member 17 are removably screwed onto the silencer main body 11, disassembly and assembly are easy, manufacturing costs can be reduced, and maintenance is easy. Become.

In addition, in the embodiment, the pipe member 17

Although oil is prevented from flowing into the filter 22 side by installing the receiving part 18, there is also a structure at the lower part of the receiving part 18 on the side of the resonance chamber 19, where the tip part is located below the base part and is inclined. However, if a shielding plate 31 is provided whose tip is placed close to the lower wall 11b of the muffler main body 11 with a space therebetween, the filter 22
It is possible to more reliably prevent oil from flowing into the side.

As explained above, according to the present invention, one end side of the pipe member provided in the silencer body is expanded into a tapered shape that gradually becomes larger in diameter as it approaches the lid of the silencer body, and is fitted into the silencer body. In addition, since the hole located on the lid side of the pipe member is oriented along the expanded diameter part of the pipe member, the airflow ejected from the hole in the pipe member during unloading operation will cause air flow to flow from the hole in the pipe member. The oil that drips and accumulates at the bottom of the silencer body can be driven away from the filter, thereby preventing the filter from getting wet with oil, allowing the filter to fully demonstrate its effectiveness, and extending the life of the filter. It can be extended, and the other end side of the pipe member (bottom side of the silencer body)
If the direction of the hole located in the pipe member is such that the outer circumferential opening of the hole is closer to the bottom of the muffler body than the inner circumferential opening of the pipe member, the air flow ejected from this hole The oil accumulated in the lower part of the muffler main body can be driven to the center of the lower wall of the muffler main body, which helps to prevent oil from entering the filter side. Moreover, if the lid and the pipe member are screwed together and attached to the muffler main body, disassembly and assembly are facilitated, manufacturing costs can be reduced, and maintenance is further facilitated.
