Conventionally, the extra length 1A of the optical fiber core 1 etc. is stored in a circular loop shape in a hard case 2 made of a rigid body, as shown in FIG.
As shown in the figure, it was stored in a circular loop shape inside a flexible soft case 3. In the figure, 4 is an optical cable, 5 is a connection box for housing the cases 2, 3, etc., 6 is a fiber connection part, and 7 is a seam fusion part that fuses the three sides of the soft case 3.

(Problem to be Solved by the Invention) However, conventionally, the extra length 1A of the optical fiber core 1 etc. has been wound into a circular loop shape, so the cases 2 and 3 that house it are square. Therefore, the depth dimension L of each case 2, 3 becomes large, and the radial dimension of the connecting box 5 becomes large, which has the disadvantage that it cannot meet the demand for slimming the connecting box 5. Ta.

In addition, in the hard case 2, a plurality of extra length parts 1A
If these hard cases 2 are stacked with the hard cases 2 stored in individual hard cases 2, the thickness of the stacked layers will be twice the thickness of the individual hard cases 2 at any part, and the thickness will increase in the radial direction of the connection box 5. This has the disadvantage that the dimensions become larger, which goes against the trend of slimming down the connecting box 5.

On the other hand, when a plurality of soft cases 2 are stacked, each fiber connection part 6 tends to overlap at the same position, so there is a drawback that the thickness becomes abnormally large in that part.

(Function of the invention) Since such an optical fiber surplus length storage device has a smaller dimension in the width direction, that is, in the depth direction, than in the length direction, the loop-shaped surplus length of the optical fiber core wire etc. is stored in each sheet. They are each stored in the second sheet in an elliptical shape with a major axis in the longitudinal direction. At this time, each of the loop-shaped surplus lengths is pressed by the folded part of the second sheet on the opening side of the surplus length storage device, and is pressed by the depth connecting part on the depth side, so that the surplus length has an oval shape. The shape is maintained and escape is prevented. In addition, since the depth between adjacent layers is such that the closing portions are provided with different depth dimensions from the opening portion, each fiber connection portion is housed at a different position in the depth direction, and each fiber connection portion is stored at a different position in the depth direction. Overlapping of the connecting portions at the same position can be suppressed to a minimum. When taking out each extra length part, it can be easily taken out by folding the folded part of the second sheet in the opposite folding direction. This extra length storage tool is
Since the depth dimension is small, the radial dimension of the connection box can be reduced, and the connection box can be made slim. In addition, if the optical fiber cores in the optical cable are made into units, each extra length can be stored in this extra length storage device for each unit, making later maintenance work easier. Can be done.

(Example) Examples of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2. As shown in the figure, the optical fiber surplus length storage device 8 of this embodiment includes one rectangular first sheet 9 and a plurality of second sheets having the same apparent size as the first sheet 9. It is formed mainly from the sheet 10. Connecting ears 11 and 12 are formed at both longitudinal ends of each sheet 9 and 10, and holes 1 and 1 are formed in each of the ears 11 and 12, respectively.
1A and 12A are open. These sheets 9 and 10 are made of, for example, a transparent polyester sheet whose surface is laminated with polyethylene. These sheets 9, 10 are stacked in the same direction, and an opening 13 is formed between the long sides of each sheet 9, 10 on one side in the width direction.
Adjacent long sides on the other side in the width direction are heat-sealed and connected to each other to form a depth closing portion 14 . The depth closing portions 14 between adjacent layers are provided at different positions in the depth direction so that the depth dimensions from the opening 13 are different. Excess length storage devices 8 at both lengthwise ends of the depth closing portion 14
Both corners of are connected by connecting fittings 15 for reinforcement. Both longitudinal ends of each sheet 9, 10 are removably connected to each other by hooks 16 at ear portions 11, 12. Opening 13 in each second sheet 10
A folded portion 17 that is folded back toward the side facing the first sheet 9 is provided on the long side portion located at each side. A notch 17 is provided in the center of each folded portion 17.
A is provided for each.

The optical fiber extra length storage device 8 is placed on each second sheet 10 as shown in FIG. 3, with the hook 16 removed and the opening 13 side of each sheet 9, 10 turned over. The extra length part 1A of the optical fiber core 1 etc. is stored in an oval loop shape, and the shape is maintained using the folded part 17 and the depth blocking part 14 as stoppers. Each fiber connection part 6 is also stored together. In this case, as described above, since the depth blocking portions 14 are provided with different dimensions in the depth direction between adjacent layers, each fiber connecting portion 6 can be stored while avoiding overlapping. It is possible to suppress abnormal swelling of the storage area of the fiber connecting portion 6 as much as possible. With all the extra length parts 1A stored, both ends are connected with hooks 16.

(Effects of the Invention) As explained above, the optical fiber surplus length storage device according to the present invention has a rectangular shape in which the dimension in the width direction, that is, the depth direction is smaller than the length direction. The box can be made slimmer. In the case of such an optical fiber extra length storage tool, the extra length of the optical fiber core etc. is stored in an oval shape, but in the case of this storage tool, a closing part is provided at the back and a closing part is provided at the front. Since the folded portion of the second sheet is provided, the oval shape of the extra length portion can be easily maintained using these portions. In addition, since this extra length storage device is made of stacked flexible sheets, it is thinner than a hard case even when multiple sheets are stacked on top of each other, making it ideal for slimming the connection box. Very suitable. Furthermore, the second sheet that stores the extra length has a folded part on its long side on the opening side, so even though it is just a stack of sheets, the extra length can be stored securely. In addition, the extra length portions can be easily taken out independently for each extra length portion. In particular, in the present invention, since each depth closure part is provided with different depth dimensions from the opening part between adjacent layers,
The fiber connecting portions can be stored while avoiding overlapping, and abnormal swelling of the storage location of the fiber connecting portions can be suppressed as much as possible. Moreover, since this extra length storage device is formed of a sheet and has a simple shape, it has the advantage that it can be manufactured at a very low cost. Furthermore, when each optical fiber core wire of an optical cable is formed into a unit, the extra length can be stored in units, which has the advantage that later management becomes very easy.
