針環縫いミシン、或いは覆針キルトミシンのよう
な複数針を有する環縫いミシン等における空かん

(作用)

ターで加熱したポンチを下メスに押圧し、糸を切
断することも考えられるが、これらの手段ではい
ずれも熱厚着と切断とが、殆んど同時に行われる
ため、確実に融着が進まない内に糸が切断された
り、また、メスで切断される前に糸が熱で焼け切
れる恐れがあつた。本発明ではポンチ受台(空か
ん糸受台)がメスの刃面よりやや上部に位置して
いる為糸が加熱されたポンチで押圧され、糸の融
着作業が実行されてから、その後メスにより切断
される。又メス両側をポンチが押圧する様になつ
ている為、縫い製品の縫い終り側糸端と、縫い始
め側糸端とも、融着によるほつれ防止が、必ず実
行され、信頼性のある美しい切口をもつて切断出
来る。更に、此の装置は、多針キルトミシンの様
に複数の針を有する場合にポンチ及びメス部剤を
そのまま延長して、複数の針へ対応する長さとす
れば、各針の空かん糸へ対応出来、各糸が1パン
チで同時に融着、切断出来る極めて効率的で自動
縫製等への活用に最適である。
