変動に対処して建造物相互間の隙間を安定した状
態で遮蔽することができるとともに、その水密性
を高めることができ、しかも、摺動部材全体を弾
性変形可能に設け、かつカバー部材と適宜の連結
手段により連結したものであるから建造物間に相
対移動を生じた場合には固定部材に対する摺動性
とカバー部材の弾性引込みとの2機能を兼ね備え
て、建造物に対する応答性が良好となるととも
に、カバー部材への外力の及ぶことが著減されて
その対用度を高めることができるので、エキスパ
ンシヨンジヨイントとしてその資するところ極め
て大である。
