It was hot. Therefore, the state in which the handset is placed upright, that is, the state in which the handset is placed on the base set so that the earpiece and the earpiece base are in contact with each other, and the mouthpiece and the mouthpiece base are also upside down state,
In other words, it is possible to place the handset on the base set so that the earpiece and the mouthpiece base are in contact with each other, and the handset and the mouthpiece base are in contact with each other. , it didn't look unnatural because the phones had similar shapes. Also,
Some conventional telephones do not take into consideration the operation of the hook switch when the phone is placed upside down, and in such cases, the on-hook state may not be reached when the phone is placed upside down. As a result, the line may be put on hold in an off-hook state without noticing that it is in an inverted state, or
Another drawback was that even if the line was disconnected, the tone ringer or magnetic bell would not ring. In order to eliminate this drawback, if the handset is placed upside down, the size of the earpiece and mouthpiece should be changed so that the handset is not accommodated in the baseset, and the size of the earpiece and mouthpiece should be changed so that the handset is not accommodated in the baseset. Some also had different mouthpiece sizes.

FIG. 1 shows a state in which a handset in which an earpiece part and a mouthpiece part are integrally provided and a base set in which an earpiece base and a mouthpiece base are integrally provided facing the handset are fitted together. 1 is a handset, 3 is an earpiece, and 5 is a mouthpiece. The handset 1 has a large circumferential earpiece 3 with a central grip part protruding from the side, and a small circumference. A mouthpiece portion 5 of the same size is integrally formed. 6 is a base set, 2 is an earpiece stand, 4 is a mouthpiece stand, and base set 6
The earpiece base 2 has a large inner circumferential dimension and a concave portion that faces the convex parts forming the earpiece part 3 and the mouthpiece part 5 of the handset 1 and fits into the convex parts. A mouthpiece stand 4 is integrally provided. In the above example, the size of the uneven portion where the earpiece portion 3 and the earpiece base 2 fit together is set to be larger than the size of the uneven portion where the mouthpiece portion 5 and the mouthpiece base 4 fit together. Since the dimensions of both the earpiece side and the mouthpiece side are formed to be different, when the earpiece part 3 is placed upright, as shown in FIG. The mouthpiece part 5 is fitted into the mouthpiece base 4. On the other hand, when the
As shown in FIGS. 2a and 2b, the mouthpiece part 5 is connected to the earpiece stand 2.
However, since the earpiece 3 does not fit into the mouthpiece base 4, the handset 1 is tilted and placed in an unnatural state as shown in FIG. 1, 2b. Therefore, the user of the telephone can expect to notice that the handset 1 is in the upside down position and return the handset 1 to the upright position. However, changing the sizes of the earpiece and the mouthpiece has the disadvantage that it may not be desirable from the viewpoint of appearance.

FIG. 2 3 is a plan view showing a portion of the fitting means in FIG. In this case, b is a partial plan view showing a state in which the fitting means is provided at a position deviated by a predetermined distance from the straight line connecting the two centers, and the handset 1 is placed on the base set 6 and fitted.

いる。 In FIG. 2, 1a and 3a represent the earpiece 3.
A concave portion 8 is provided at a position on the handset 1 where the distance R H to the end of the mouthpiece 5 is different from the distance T H to the end of the mouthpiece 5, and a convex portion 7 that does not deform is provided at an opposing position on the base set 6. 2a shows a state in which the convex part 7 is fitted into the concave part 8 in the upright position, and 2a similarly shows the state in which the concave part 8' is provided on the base set 6 and the convex part 7' is provided on the handset 1, and in the upright position. This shows the mated state. In addition, in 3b, the earpiece part 3

As shown in FIGS. 2 and 2b, the handset 1 does not fit into the base set 6 and has an unnatural shape, so it is not left as is. Furthermore, even if it is formed as shown in FIG. 2, 3b, although the illustration is omitted, it will be in an unnatural shape, and will not be left unattended.

As shown in the figure, the distance R H between the recess 8 on the handset 1 and the end of the earpiece 3 is different from the distance T H between the recess 8 and the end of the mouthpiece 5. As shown in Figure 4, the handset 1

あることが一見してわかる。 FIG. 6 is a perspective view of a third specific embodiment of the present invention, in the case of a telephone having a triangular cross section when the handset 1 is placed on the base set 6. A fitting means consisting of 8,
From the straight line connecting the centers of the earpiece 3 and the mouthpiece 5,
It is installed by removing it by a predetermined distance S H , and FIG. 6 shows the state in which it is placed upright, and FIG. 6 shows the state in which it is placed in reverse. In this case, the shapes of the earpiece 3 and the mouthpiece 5,
Even if the shapes of the earpiece base 2 and the mouthpiece base 4 are the same, if they are placed upside down, the convex part 7 and the concave part 8 will not fit together, and the handset 1 will not be horizontal, so it is obvious that they are placed upside down. I understand.

Another advantage is that even if the line is disconnected, the tone ringer or magnetic bell does not stop ringing, and various telephone functions such as making/receiving calls and talking can be used with peace of mind at any time. Note that the present invention has the advantage that it can be applied not only to telephones but also to devices such as intercoms comprising a handset and a baseset.
