Therefore, the photoreceptor is left with the developer attached to the surface of the photoreceptor. Then,
The developer adhering to the photoreceptor becomes a moisture absorbent, resulting in deterioration of the photoreceptor and strong adhesion of the developer to the surface of the photoreceptor, resulting in so-called filming.

By stopping the rotation of the sleeve and transporting the developer only by the magnet roll, the layer of developer on the sleeve is thinned, and then the rotation of the photoconductor and magnet roll is stopped. It was devised to make it non-contact.

1、マグネツトロール4の回転を停止させる。 The present invention will be explained below. In the electrophotographic apparatus, the photoreceptor 1, the sleeve 3, and the magnet roll 4 are structured so that they can be controlled independently by a photoreceptor driving electric motor 2, a sleeve driving electric motor 5, and a magnet roll driving electric motor 6, respectively. There is. In the developing state, the photoreceptor 1, sleeve 3, and magnet roll 4 are all rotating, and a layer of developer set to a certain value is adhered to the sleeve 3. When development is completed and the rotation of the photoreceptor 1 is to be stopped, the sleeve drive electric motor 5 is first stopped to stop the rotation of the sleeve 3. Then sleeve 3
The developer on the sleeve 3 is transported only by the magnet roll 4, and the layer of developer on the sleeve 3 becomes thin. The time required for the developer layer on the sleeve to become thin is about 1 to 3 seconds. After such a state is reached, the photoreceptor driving electric motor 2 and the magnet roll driving electric motor 6 are stopped, and the rotation of the photoreceptor 1 and the magnet roll 4 is stopped.

Although two electric motors are used, the same effect can be obtained by using and controlling two or fewer electric motors and clutches.

The same effect can be obtained even by reducing the number of electric motors by allowing the magnet roll 4 to rotate by inertia for a certain period of time after it has stopped.

る。 According to the present invention, when the rotation of the photoreceptor is stopped, the layer of developer on the sleeve of the developing device can be thinned, so that no developer is attached to the surface of the photoreceptor. When the apparatus is stopped, moisture absorption through the developer is eliminated, and deterioration of the photoreceptor and filming of the developer can be prevented.
