Conventionally, as a decorative composite wire, as shown in Figure 1,
A composite wire 3 is used, which is made by joining a core material 1 of Ti to a jacket metal 2 of Ni or Ni-Cr alloy.

By the way, this composite wire 3 consists of a core material 1 and a sheath metal 2.
During this process, a Ti-Ni intermetallic compound is formed, which causes the joint boundary to harden and become brittle. In addition, since Ti is extremely easily oxidized and it is difficult to obtain an appropriate bonding surface, the core material 1 is used as the composite wire 3.
The disadvantage was that the bonding strength between the outer sheath metal 2 and the outer sheath metal 2 was weak.

The present invention was made in order to eliminate such drawbacks, and it prevents hardening and embrittlement of the bonding boundary between the Ti core material and the Ni or Ni-Cr alloy outer sheath metal, and increases the bonding strength. The purpose is to provide a decorative composite wire.

The decorative composite wire of the present invention uses Ti as the core material and Ni as the core material.
Or, in a composite wire with a Ni-Cr alloy as the outer sheath metal, an intermediate metal that does not form intermetallic compounds with Ti is placed between the core material and the outer sheath metal, and these are joined together. be.

An example of this will be explained below with reference to FIG. 2. 1 is a core material of Ti, 2 is an outer covering metal of 10% by weight of Ni-Cr, and 4 is an intermediate metal. It consists of layer 4b. Note that this decorative composite wire is obtained as follows. In other words, the core material is degreased Ti with an outer diameter of 97.5 mm, and the outer periphery is covered with a degreased 0.1 mm thick Ag intermediate metal (pipe), and then a 0.1 mm thick Cu intermediate metal (pipe). Then, the outer periphery of the pipe was coated with 10% by weight NiCr having a thickness of 3 mm which had been degreased, and compression molded to form a billet for hot extrusion. Next, it was hot extruded at 400°C to obtain a composite wire with an outer diameter of 40 mm, and then cast, wire drawn, and heat treated to obtain a decorative composite wire as shown in FIG.
A cross section of a composite wire 3' formed by integrally bonding the core material 1, Ag layer 4a, Cu layer 4b, and sheath metal 2 was subjected to line analysis using an X-ray microanalyzer.
When we investigated the state of Ni diffusion, we obtained the results shown in the graph of Figure 3. As can be seen from this graph, there is an Ag layer 4a and a Cu layer between the core material 1 and the outer sheath metal 2.
Due to the presence of layer 4b, the formation of intermetallic compounds of Ti and Ni is not observed.

Furthermore, when the composite wire 3' of the above embodiment of the present invention was processed into a deformed wire, the core material 1, intermediate metal 4, and sheath metal 2 were well integrated without peeling, as shown in FIG. An irregularly shaped line was obtained.

However, when the conventional composite wire 3 is processed into a deformed wire,
As shown in FIG. 6, a defective deformed wire in which the core material 1 and the sheath metal 2 were partially separated was obtained.

FIG. 7 shows another embodiment of the decorative composite wire of the present invention, in which 1 is a Ti core material, 2 is a Ni jacket metal,
4 is an intermediate metal, and this intermediate metal 4 includes an Ag layer 4a arranged on the core material 1 side and a Ni layer 4c arranged on the outer sheath metal 2 side.

The composite wire 3'' having such a structure has no space between the core material 1 and the sheath metal 2, like the composite wire 3' of the above embodiment.
No formation of intermetallic compounds of Ti or Ni was observed, and when processed into a deformed wire, the core material 1, intermediate metal 4, and sheath metal were integrated without peeling, resulting in a good deformed wire. Ta.

As can be seen from the above explanation, in the decorative composite wire of the present invention, between the Ti core material and the Ni-Cr alloy sheath metal,
At least one layer of Cu or Ag or Ni is not placed on the core side, but two or more intermediate metal layers of Cu and Ag are placed and bonded, so between the core and the outer sheath metal, Ti,
Ni intermetallic compounds are not generated. Therefore, the joint boundary part does not harden or become brittle, and the joint strength is significantly increased, so that the core material and the outer sheath metal do not peel off even when processed into irregularly shaped wires.
