DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a cut flower preservative obtained from vegetable humus mud. Vegetable humus is currently or has been for many years.
It is a fermented vegetable substance that was deposited in water such as the seabed and lake bottom. The applicant had previously filed an application in JP-A No. 57-21474 regarding a composition with rich deodorizing, sterilizing, and gas adsorption properties obtained from vegetable humus mud, but the invention of this application does not require the use of vegetable humus mud. It oxidizes and dries at temperatures below 80°C until its moisture content is below 60%. Forced oxidation is performed by air oxidation. Various uses for this composition are being developed in the form of fine powder, aqueous extract, granules, etc., depending on the purpose. The present invention relates to the use of aqueous extracts in the above-mentioned forms. From now on, this aqueous extract will be referred to as Hummus errabine. Since the humus errabine of the present invention is also an aqueous extract of the above composition as mentioned above, it goes without saying that it is obtained through the above oxidation treatment. While proceeding with the development of uses for Huymus errabine, the applicants of the present invention discovered that Huymus errabin improves the landing of cut flowers and has an excellent flower-lasting effect, and arrived at the present invention. Regarding cut flower preservatives, an application has already been filed in JP-A No. 115850/1983, which is ``Cut flower preservatives comprising water-soluble nitrofemate and nonionic surfactants''. i.e. certain nitrofumates (sodium salts, potassium salts, ammonium salts)
The life-extending effect of cut flowers is observed only in a specific combination of nitrofuminate and a specific surfactant (non-ionic type); in other words, neither nitrofumates alone nor non-ionic surfactants alone have an effect on cut-flower life-extending effect; Although it has been shown that combinations other than specific combinations are similarly less effective, the state of the composition produced only in specific combinations with specific nitroemates and specific surfactants has a cut flower preservation effect. it is conceivable that. The humus errabine of the present invention also relates to a cut flower preservative, but it has a completely different composition from the above, and is obtained by forcibly oxidizing vegetable humic mud with air and then extracting it with water. be. When arranging cut flowers, the length of time they last varies depending on the type. Short ones are those that last only one day, and usually three to five days. Extending the lifespan of flower arrangements has long been desired, and many so-called life-extending agents are commercially available, but none of them can be said to be sufficiently effective. Looking at the effect of extending the life of cut flowers by diluting Hyumas errabine 30 to 50 times with water, in most cases the effect is 3 to 4 times longer, as described in the Examples. The buds fully bloom, but
It is worth noting that even carnations, which are usually said not to bloom when cut flower buds, bloom fully. In addition, wild thistles and hydrangeas with tired necks are revived, and the effect of restoring grass and tree vigor and revitalizing them is remarkable. The cause of these effects has not been fully elucidated, but Hyumas Elrabin was published in Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 1987-
As described in No. 21474, it has a bacteriostatic effect and is thought to be used to prevent the proliferation of bacteria and fungi within the plant's ducts, which is the cause of reducing the freshness of cut flowers.
In addition, Hyumas errabine has the effect of promoting the rooting of cuttings and the rooting of grafted trees, and when used as flower arrangements, it is thought to have the effect of restoring the vigor of the grass and tree and revitalizing it. When arranging cut flowers, the cut ends may become cloudy and make the harvest difficult, but if you use Hyumas errabine, this will not happen.
Examples are listed below, in which the lifespans of a 30 to 50 times diluted solution of Hyumas errabine (PH = 3.0 degrees Brix = 0.6) with water and a solution made only with water were compared. 【table】
