It is already widely known for its method of forming three-dimensional patterns on the surface of painted materials using
Roll-shaped pattern forming tools can pattern over a large area by rolling the rolls, and are advantageous over flat-shaped ones in that there is no limit to the size of building materials. It is described in the publication No. 118767 "3D patterned hand roller" etc. The present invention is directed to a method for quickly and inexpensively manufacturing a roll-shaped pattern forming tool with good pattern development properties.

する。 The above-mentioned gazette provides examples of various surface designs for painted materials, but the surface design of building materials must match the individual tastes of consumers, and there are many types of surface designs that are designed one after another based on the trends of the times. There is an increasing demand for the development of new designs. Therefore, the rolls used to form three-dimensional patterns must be sophisticated enough to produce a wide variety of patterns, even minute parts and smooth curves, and must also be able to be manufactured quickly and inexpensively. be. In this respect, conventional methods for manufacturing pattern-forming rolls have had several drawbacks. Therefore, a conventional roll manufacturing method will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.

The uneven pattern on the roll surface is formed by hand engraving or photo etching.

Finally, make two concave (female) molds 14a and 14b (Fig. 3).

Since the design roll 10 has to be engraved or etched on its cylindrical surface,
The material is preferably hard steel or wood, and the manufacturing process requires a lot of time and cost. On the other hand, since the surface of the base material of building materials is not necessarily flat, using a hard pattern-forming roll tends to cause uneven crimping, and excessive crimping may damage the base material. must be made of flexible material. Thus, the man-hours required to make two rolls become essential.

なデザインが困難であつた。 Second, the uneven pattern on the surface of the roll is transferred to the surface of the building material with the unevenness reversed, so you must draw a negative image of the pattern you want to appear on the surface of the building material on the design roll, with the pattern reversed. It must not happen. Especially when carving by hand, it is difficult to create minute patterns and it is not easy to draw natural curves. The etching method requires many steps and inevitably increases costs. Since the positions of the recesses on the design roll form the pattern, it is not possible to use a method of attaching a coating material to the cylindrical roll to create the pattern, which is a simpler method than engraving or etching. Since negative images are drawn directly on the cylindrical roll, there are naturally restrictions on the pattern, making it difficult to create free designs.

This is achieved by a method for manufacturing a roll for forming convex portions.

For this convex pattern, it is sufficient to make a positive image that is identical to the pattern to be reproduced on the surface of the painted material, and there is no need to create a reversed negative image. When this magnetic sheet is assembled into a cylindrical frame made of a magnetic material with its convex pattern on the inner surface, the sheet adheres tightly to the cylindrical wall surface due to the action of the magnet, forming a cylindrical space inside.
By injecting a solvent-resistant liquid plastic into this space and solidifying it, a flexible protrusion-forming roll is formed.

Gold and their compounds and alloys are used.
In terms of dimensions, from the viewpoint of ensuring accuracy during roll forming,
The thickness of the frame is selected depending on the material so that it becomes a rigid body, and the diameter and length can be arbitrarily selected depending on the size of the roll.

する。 The present invention will be described in more detail below with reference to the embodiments shown in the accompanying drawings, FIGS. 6 to 9. First, as shown in FIG. 6, a magnetic sheet 22 consisting of a front surface 20 forming a pattern and a back surface 21 mixed with magnetic powder is made into a rectangular shape of a predetermined size. The thickness of the magnetic sheet 22 is approximately 1 mm to 5 mm, and a material is selected that is flexible, does not wrinkle when rolled into a cylindrical shape, and is self-supporting due to the force of the magnet. The material of the sheet is, for example, vinyl chloride.

Convex patterns 23 and 24 are formed by spraying at a rate of 400 g/m 2 and then dried. This pattern should be the same as the pattern reproduced on the surface of the painted material.

The magnetic sheet 22 is closely attached to the inner surface of the steel cylindrical split molds 25a and 25b so that the convex patterns 23 and 24 are on the inner surface that contacts the liquid plastic. At this time, the sheet 22 is brought into close contact with the cylindrical inner surfaces of the split molds 25a and 25b due to the action of the magnet powder 21. Measure the dimensions so that there are no gaps between the edges of the sheets.

Thereafter, by removing the split molds 25a and 25b, the convex portion forming roll 30 according to the present invention is completed. If this roll 30 is pressed against the surface of an uncured coating material and rolled, the convex patterns 23 and 24 shown in FIG. 6 will be reproduced on the surface of the building material.

Therefore, it is possible to realize elaborate patterns including fine shapes and natural curves, and the roll for forming the convex portions can be manufactured quickly and inexpensively, and its effects are extremely remarkable.
