すぐ気化して温度が低下してしまうので、殺虫効
果は決して高くない。また、後者の防除方法とし
ては、特開昭49−66449号公報に記載された熱湯
又は半熱湯(40〜70℃位の熱湯)を雑草害虫に散
布する方法がある。ところが、この方法では、熱
湯を散布した部分が水びたしになるので、タタミ
の害虫を駆除するには、やはり実用性を欠くとい
う問題があり、さらに熱湯はすぐ温度が低くなる
ので、殺虫効果も高くないという問題がある。

されているが、前記のようにこれに限定されるも
のではない。又本体1の外部には適宜な取付手段
を介して管3がえられている。この管3は、熱風
等の熱を送るためのものである。第1図では、曲
りくねつたような隙間への処理に有利なフレキシ
ブルなホース状管3を有し、本体1の噴筒1aに
嵌合された場合が示されている。第2図では、先
端鋭利なロングノズルが管3として本体1の底部
に取付けられている。この場合はロングノズル状
管3の先端はメクラ状で、該管3の側周面に通風
孔3aが複数設けられており、水平方向に八方に
熱風が噴出するように構成されている。かつ先端
が鋭利であるので、ゴキブリ、シロアリのひそん
でいそうな箇所へ突きさしての使用が出来る。第
8図では、先端メクラ状でかつ鋭利なノズル状管
3が複数本、送風管3−1に連結された状態で本
体1内外を出入自在となるようにバネ1bを介し
て備えられている場合が示されている。この場
合、通風孔8aは第2図と同様、管3の側周面に
設けられており、使用も第2図のように使用出来
るが、特に管3が複数本あるので、畳の害虫を防
除する場合に適している。又バネ1bを介して管
3が出入するので不使用時には管3は本体1内に
有り安全である。第4図では管3がドリルを備ね
ており、管3の周側面全体にハ3cを有し、この
ドリル兼用管3は本体1内部に備えられた中空状
シヤフト1dを有するモーター1cに回動可能に
連結され、該中空状シヤフト1dと送風機2aと
ヒーター2bの組合せからなる熱発生機構2とが
連動されている場合が示されている。この場合、
管3がドリルを兼ねているので、シロアリ等材木
の中等にひそんでいる害虫を防除する場合に作業
がしやすく有利となる。

用時にその先端でケガ等を未然に防止でき有利で
ある。なおこのカバー5は管3側周面上を摺動自
在に移動しうるので、差し込み深さを予め決める
ことも出来るので、管3先端の差し込みすぎを防
止出来有利である。
