Conventionally, after forming various foam molded products from thermoplastic resin foam sheets by means such as press molding, the outer shape of each molded product is trimmed and the excess portion of the foam sheet is cut off to obtain the desired product. This is widely practiced. Among the above methods, trimming processing is conventionally performed by Thomson processing,
Methods such as punching were used.

However, one of the characteristics of the conventional trimming processing described above is that when the shape of the molded product is simple, it can be processed efficiently and is suitable, but the external shape of the molded product, that is, the trimming outline In the case of a three-dimensional curved object, the structure of the conventional cutting blade, cutting die, etc. is mechanically extremely complicated, or it is often impossible to process the object.

For this reason, molded products made of foamed sheets are subject to severe restrictions on their shapes, making it impossible to adopt a free design, which has been an obstacle to expanding demand and popularization of these foamed molded products.

Therefore, in the method of this invention, we have developed a method that eliminates the drawbacks of the above conventional methods and can trim foam molded products whose trimming outline forms a three-dimensional curve easily and with a good finish. This method involves holding the material to be trimmed in the center of at least a pair of guide plates arranged vertically with an interval, with a guide groove formed through the foam molded product along the trimming outline. Then, by moving the upper and lower sliding members slidably inserted along the upper and lower guide grooves, the linear heater stretched between the upper and lower sliding members is trimmed. It is characterized in that it is moved along the outline line and trimming is performed on the material to be trimmed by heat cutting.

At this time, in the slide members 4', 5 in the center part, the slide grooves 40', 5 on the opposite side to the slide grooves 41', 50 into which the slide members 7, 7' are inserted.
1 are located on the line of movement of the linear heaters 8, 8' of the other set, and are therefore used as relief grooves when the heaters 8, 8' are moved. However, the slide grooves 41, 50' formed in the upper and lower slide members 4, 5' are not necessarily necessary and may be omitted.

In addition to the above structure, the fixing mechanism 9 has a structure in which a press arm 92 for the material to be trimmed A' is rotatably supported by a shaft 93, and the tip of the arm 92 presses and fixes the material to be trimmed A' (Fig. 7). ), or a vacuum suction tool 94 is provided in the center of the guide plate 2 to suction and fix the bottom surface of the material to be trimmed A' (see Fig. 8). Various known structures can be employed as long as they can prevent the movement of.

In the case of the illustrated embodiment, there is a point where the trimming contour lines a and a' on the two sides intersect;
Guide plates 1, 2 and 1' corresponding to a', respectively;
2' are arranged vertically in parallel, and two sets of linear heaters 8, 8' for trimming the two sides a and a' are installed in separate slide grooves 40, 50 and 41 arranged in parallel in slide members 40, 41... Because of the structure in which the heaters 8 and 8' are inserted into the holes 8 and 51' and moved by sliding, the trimming outlines a and a' on each of the two sides can be accurately trimmed at the same time without collision or interference or disturbance of the cutting lines. It is now possible to disconnect it.

As described above, according to the trimming method of the present invention, unlike conventional punching and Thomson processing, complicated punching dies and cutting blades are not provided, and cutting and trimming is performed using linear heaters stretched vertically. Therefore, even if the outer shape of the molded product is complex and the trimming outline is curved with three-dimensional unevenness, it can be cut freely without being affected by the above-mentioned unevenness. Therefore, the shape of the molded product can be freely designed and manufactured, contributing to improving the design and expanding the applications of foam molded products.

The linear heater is stretched between sliding members that slide in guide grooves formed on the upper and lower guide plates, and the linear heater is moved according to the guide groove along the trimming outline. Therefore, it can be cut into extremely accurate curved shapes, resulting in a beautiful finish with stable quality. Furthermore, by simply changing the shape pattern of the guide groove, it can easily accommodate changes in the shape of the molded product, and has excellent flexibility.

As a trimming device, the structure of the linear heater, sliding member, guide groove, etc. is simple and easy to manufacture, and it is much cheaper than conventional complicated punching dies and cutting blades, and it generates a large shear force when cutting. Since heat can be cut easily without applying heat, the entire device has excellent durability against wear of each mechanism, requires less maintenance and management costs, and reduces operating costs.

As mentioned above, the method and device for trimming foam molded products can easily realize three-dimensional trimming, which was extremely difficult in the past, and has many excellent features such as being able to greatly contribute to expanding demand for these foam molded products. It has the following.

[Scope of Claims] 1. A material to be trimmed is held in the center of at least a pair of guide plates arranged vertically with an interval, each having a guide groove formed through the foam molded product along the trimming outline. Then, by moving the upper and lower sliding members slidably inserted along the upper and lower guide grooves, the linear heater stretched between the upper and lower sliding members is trimmed. A method for trimming a foamed molded product, which is characterized by moving the material along the outer contour line and subjecting the material to be trimmed to a trimming process using a heat cut. 2. The movement of the upper and lower sliding members is achieved by using a pair of upper and lower sliding members having slide grooves formed through the guide grooves in a direction substantially perpendicular to the guide grooves, together with the sliding members slidably inserted into the guide grooves and the slide grooves. A method for trimming a foam molded product according to claim 1, by moving the foam molded product in a direction substantially parallel to the groove. 3 Using two sets of sliding members and a linear heater,
3. The method for trimming a foam molded product according to claim 2, wherein the trimming outlines on two sides of the foam molded product are simultaneously heat-cut by moving separate linear heaters and sliding members. 4 Two sets of sliding members and a linear heater are connected to two pairs of guides arranged vertically in parallel, each having a guide groove formed through only one side of the trimming outline on two sides of the foam molded product. A method for trimming a foam molded product according to claim 3, wherein the plates are moved along separate guide grooves. 5 A set of at least two guide plates arranged vertically with an interval in between is provided with a guide groove formed through the trimming outline of the foam molded product, and a guide groove is provided in the slide member adjacent to each guide plate. In addition to providing a slide groove formed to cross the guide groove and penetrating the guide groove in a direction substantially perpendicular to the guide groove, the upper and lower slide members can be moved together in a direction substantially parallel to the guide groove, and the guide groove and the slide adjacent to each other are A trimming device for a foamed molded product, characterized in that a linear heater for heat cutting is stretched between a pair of upper and lower sliding members which are slidably inserted into both slide grooves of the members. 6 Trimming of two sides of a foamed molded product Trimming of a foamed molded product as set forth in claim 5, comprising two separate sets of linear heaters and sliding members for heat-cutting only one side of the outline. Device. 7 Two sets of guide plates each having a guide groove formed through only one of the trimmed outlines on the two sides of the foam molded product are arranged vertically in parallel, and two sets of guide plates adjacent to both sets of guide plates are arranged vertically in parallel. Two sets of linear heaters that make the pair of slide members movable together, and that form the slide grooves by shifting them back and forth between the two sets of slide members, and further heat-cut the trimming outlines on both sides separately. 7. A trimming device for a foam molded product according to claim 6, wherein relief grooves are formed through each guide plate and slide member on the line of movement of the foam molded product.
