ピングする磁気ヘツドラツピング装置に関するも

用をもたらす運動方向たるその作用方向は同方向
のため研磨作用は同方向の二つの作用によりされ
る。このために常に研磨材の未研磨部で磁気ヘツ
ドの曲面状の研磨面(ラツピング面)をむらなく
一様に研磨(ラツピング)することができないか
ら研磨面の表面あらさ(平滑度)につき満足し得
るものが得られないという不都合を有している。

揺動中心の軸方向に直線往復運動させるテープ揺
振機構Oとを備えて構成したことを特徴とする磁
気ヘツドラツピング装置にある。

ツド1を保持する保持溝6を形成し、機体4に揺
動用モーター7を付設し、この揺動用モーター7
の主軸にクランク盤8を固定し、このクランク盤
8の上方に揺動歯車9を軸着し、この揺動歯車9
とクランク盤8とに連杆10を架設し、揺動歯車
9に保持筒5と連結した駆動歯車11を噛合さ
せ、磁気ヘツド1を揺動運動させるように構成し

より微小前後動する押圧杆18を貫挿し、この押
圧杆18の先端中央にラツピングテープ3を磁気
ヘツド1のラツピング面2に押圧する押圧板19
を付設し、更に押圧杆18の両側にY字状にして
端部を有する有端状のラツピングテープ3をラツ
ピング面2の接線方向に案内する案内板20を付
設し、左右スライド台14の上部にラツピングテ
ープ3捲回した供給リール21を付設し、左右ス
ライド台14の下部にアイドルローラ−22と駆
動ローラ−23とを接触状態で対設し、供給リー
ル21より解したラツピングテープ3を案内板2
0、押圧板19を迂回してアイドルローラー22
と駆動ローラー23とで挾着し、駆動ローラ23
をモーター(図示省略)で回転させてラツピング
テープ3を移送させ、更に機体4の下部に直線往
復用モーター24を設け、この直線往復用モータ
ー24の主軸に偏心カム25を固定し、前後スラ
イド台13に長孔26を穿設し、機体4の側面に
ベルクランク27を揺動自在に枢着し、このベル
クランク27の一端に偏心カム25に接触するカ
ムローラー28を枢着し、ベルクランク27の他
端に前後動ローラー29を枢着し、この前後動ロ
ーラー29を長孔26に嵌合し、前後スライド台
13と上下スライド台12との間に前後スライド
台13を常時前方たるカムローラーと偏心カムと
の接触圧を付与し、常時接触状態を保持する方向
に弾発付勢する圧縮バネ30を架設し、直線往復
用モーター24により偏心カム25を回転させ、
この偏心カム25によりベルクランク27を揺動
させ、ベルクランク27により前後スライド台1
3を前後方向たる磁気ヘツドの揺動中心の軸方向
に直線往復運動させるように構成したものであ

送及び往復運動の三運動がもたらす三つの作用に
よりラツピングがなされることになり、このため
ラツピングテープ3と磁気ヘツド1のラツピング
面2とは接線接触状態を呈するとともにラツピン
グテープ3は一方向にのみ連続的に移送されてい
るのでラツピングテープ3は常に新たなラツピン
グ作用を現出し、しかも磁気ヘツド1の揺動及び
このラツピングテープ3の一方向連続移送に加え
て、ラツピングテープ3は磁気ヘツド1の揺動中
心の軸方向に直線往復運動され、すなわち常に新
たなラツピング作用とこの三つのラツピング作用
とによりラツピング面2はラツピングされること
になる。従つて、このためラツピング面2の表面
あらさ(平滑度)は、従来法により研磨した場合
に比べ、常にラツピング面2にはラツピングテー
プ3の未研磨が接触研磨することによりむらなく
一様に研磨するから、著しく平滑度が向上した良
好なラツピング面2を得ることができ、かつテー
プ移送機構Tをテープ揺振機構Oにより直線往復
運動させてラツピングテープ3を磁気ヘツド1の
揺動中心の軸方向に直線往復運動させる横造のた
め、これと逆に磁気ヘツド1をその揺動中心の軸
方向に直線往復運動させる構造に比べ、摺動間隙
等による磁気ヘツド1の揺動中心のずれを防止で
き、揺動中心を確実に保持できてラツピング面2
の形状精度を向上することができる。
