Conventionally, escalator balustrades are constructed by continuously attaching balustrade panels 2A, 2B, 2C, etc. made of glass, synthetic resin, etc. to a main body 1 as shown in Fig. as,
A handrail deck board 3 and a handrail rail 4 are provided in a continuous manner and are integrally attached with screws 5.
As shown in FIG. 3, a large number of rollers 6 are provided to guide the handrail belts at the end of the upper and lower handrails in order to reduce rolling friction. The handrail belt 7 is fitted into this, and the handrail belt 7 is rotated up and down to reduce the running resistance of the rotating part.

される。(Structure and operation of the invention) In FIGS. 4 to 6, panels 2A, 2B, and 2C are shown to constitute a handrail on the escalator body 1.
Attach a handrail rail (excluding the top and bottom ends) to the upper side of the handrail in a continuous manner. As shown in FIG. 5, the upper and lower ends and the new part (folded part) have a U-shaped cross section along the periphery of the panel 2A.
A curved edge frame 11 having a U-shape as a whole is attached along the panel 2A. Roller devices 12 are provided on both sides of the edge frame 11 in parallel with the panel 2A, and the roller devices 12 are provided to protrude from the outer end surface 11A of the edge frame 11 (or the panel 2A). FIG. 6 shows a cross-sectional view of the attachment part between the edge frame 11 and the panel 2A, in which a notch 13 is provided in advance in the panel 2A, and a synthetic rubber or polymer material is provided in that part to prevent damage to the bolt 14 and the panel 2A. A plastic bushing such as wood is inserted and joined together.
