[Industrial Application Field] The present invention relates to a type of correction fluid that is applied to written or printed characters to hide them.
Can be used with all types of writing and printing inks, including oil-based inks, ribbon typewriter inks, stamp inks, and PPC toners. Creates a uniform correction film with strong adhesion to paper and excellent surface smoothness. The present invention relates to a correction fluid characterized by the following. [Prior Art] Conventionally, there are two types of correction fluid: a water-based type and an oil-based type. The former uses water as a solvent and a water-soluble resin as a binder, and is used to correct oil-based inks that do not dissolve in water, which is a solvent. used as a liquid, while the latter
It has been used as a correction fluid for water-based inks that does not dissolve into the organic solvent, using an organic solvent as the solvent and an oil-soluble resin as the binder. [Problems to be solved by the invention] However, from the user's point of view, it is very complicated to distinguish between these two types, and especially in the case of the aqueous type, the applied liquid has poor drying properties, making it difficult to use. It was hot. In addition, in recent years, a so-called all-purpose correction fluid has appeared, but because the binder in this existing all-purpose correction fluid is too soft, the leveling of the correction film after application is poor, and uneven brushing occurs. If you print again on top of the paint film,
It had drawbacks such as difficulty in writing on it and poor adhesion to paper. [Means for Solving the Problems] As a result of extensive research into this all-purpose correction fluid, the present inventors found that 1, which is a chlorinated hydrocarbon solvent,
Using 1,1-trichloroethane as the main solvent, using a white pigment such as titanium oxide, and reducing the chlorine content.
When 50 to 70% by weight of chlorinated polyolefins are used as the main component of the binder, these chlorinated polyolefins are the main solvent of the correction fluid.
It has been found that the above-mentioned drawbacks can be sufficiently overcome because it dissolves very well in trichloroethane, leading to the present invention. [Function] Chlorinated polyolefins include chlorinated polyethylene (PE), chlorinated polypropylene (PP), and chlorinated rubber, but especially when chlorinated PE is used as the main binder component, It has good dispersibility in titanium oxide and good leveling properties during application, so a smooth and uniform correction coating can be obtained, and it also has strong adhesion to paper, fully satisfying all the conditions required for a correction liquid. The amount added is preferably 5 to 20% by weight based on the entire correction fluid. The reason why the chlorine content of chlorinated polyolefin is set to 50% by weight or more is because if it is lower than that, the softening point is low and it becomes sticky, making it unsuitable as a binder.
The reason why the amount is set below is that if it exceeds this value, the solubility in solvents and the smoothness of the coating film will be insufficient. In addition, chlorinated polyolefins are soluble in various solvents such as aromatic, chlorinated hydrocarbon, and aliphatic solvents, but considering the drying time of the paint film in the repaired area, 1.
Preferably, a low boiling solvent such as 1,1-trichloroethane is used. In addition, the white pigment is used to hide handwriting, and various types of titanium oxide such as rutile type and anatase type can be used, and the amount added is 30 to 50% by weight based on the total amount of correction fluid in order to achieve concealment. % is preferred. In addition, natural and synthetic resins such as petroleum resins, coumaron, indene, rosin, alkyd resins, phenol resins, acrylic resins, and Epoquine resins, which are used in combination with chlorinated polyolefin ink paints, etc., as well as ethyl acetate, butyl acetate, Solvents such as methyl ethyl ketone and methyl isobutyl ketone can also be used if necessary. [Examples] The present invention will be described in more detail below with reference to Examples. Example 1 Super Chron * 510 6.0% by weight Chlorinated paraffin A-50 0.6 〃 Titanium oxide R-820 40.0 〃 1,1,1-trichloroethane 43.4 〃 Total amount 100.0 〃 100 g of glass beads with a diameter of 4 mm were added to the above composition A correction fluid was obtained by dispersion treatment in a sand mill at a rotation speed of 2000 rpm for 30 minutes. Example 2 Super Chron * 510 10% by weight Chlorinated paraffin A-50 1 Titanium oxide R-820 50 1,1,1-trichloroethane 39 Total amount 100 Based on the above composition, in the same manner as in Example 1 Got correction fluid. Example 3 Super Chron * 106H 10% by weight Chlorinated paraffin A-50 1 Titanium oxide R-820 40 1,1,1-trichloroethane 40 Toluene 9 Total amount 100 Same as Example 1 from the above composition Correction fluid was obtained using the method. Example 4 Super Chron * 907MA 6.0% by weight Chlorinated paraffin A-50 0.6 〃 Titanium oxide R-820 30.0 〃 1,1,1-trichloroethane 63.4 〃 Total amount 100.0 〃 Based on the above composition, in the same manner as in Example 1 Got correction fluid. *Super Chron: Trade name of chlorinated polyolefin manufactured by Sanyo Kokusaku Pulp Co., Ltd. [Effects of the invention] Examples 1 to 4 and testing of the hiding rate, dispersion stability, film drying properties, and rewriting properties of commercially available correction fluids The results are shown in Table 1.
