【発明の詳細な説明】 産業上の利用分野 本発明は電子写真複写機の粉塵吸引装置に関す
るものであり、更に詳しくいえば磁気ロールを使
用する電子写真複写機の現像装置において発生す
るトナークラウドの吸引装置に関するものであ
る。

磁気ロールを使用して現像を行う電子写真複写
機の現像装置においては、第1図に示すように、
トナーフイーダー5を介して現像ハウジング7に
送られたトナー6はハウジング内でミキサー4に
よりキヤリヤと充分混合され、パドルローラ3に
より磁気ロール2に供給されて磁気ブラシ21を
形成し、この磁気ブラシが感光ドラム1の静電潜
像に接触して該潜像を現像し、現像を終つてトナ
ー濃度の低下したキヤリヤはハウジングの底部7
1を経て再び新しいトナーと混合され引続き磁気
ロールに供給される。このような現像工程におい
て磁気ブラシが感光ドラムと接触する際に現像に
関与しなかつたトナーが飛散して該接触部の近傍
でいわゆるトナークラウドが発生し、このトナー
クラウドが現像ハウジングの下部プレート71の
先端部に堆積するが、この堆積したトナーは磁気
力が小さいので堆積が進行すると塊状になつて現
像機から剥離落下して複式機の内部を汚染したり
また故障の原因となる。このようなトナーの堆積
を防止するためにハウジング底部を二重にしてト
ナー吸引路72を形成し、該吸引道をブロワーに
接続してトナークラウドを吸引し、また二重底の
上側プレート先端に磁石8を設けて磁力の小さい
堆積トナーの剥離落下を防止している(第2図)。
しかしながらこのような対策によつてもトナーク
ラウドの完全な除去ならびにハウジング底部の先
端に堆積したトナーの落下防止を満足に達成する
ことはできなかつた。

発明の構成 本発明による粉塵吸引装置は、トナーハウジン
グの二重構造になつている底部の上側プレート先
端に磁気ロールの軸方向のスリツトを形成してな
るものである。以下に図面を参照しながら本発明
の粉塵吸引装置を詳細に説明する。第3図におい
てハウジングの底部は上側プレート73と下側プ
レート71により二重構造になつていて、現像部
で発生するトナークラウドをブロワー10で吸引
するための吸引路72が形成されている。吸引路
の先端は開口91していて、この開口から大部分
のトナークラウドが吸引除去される。本発明によ
ればハウジング上側プレートの先端近傍に磁気ロ
ール2の軸方向に沿いスリツト92が形成され
る。このスリツトは上側プレートの先端から約10
mmの場所に巾1〜5mmの寸法で形成され、スリツ
トは単一の開口として形成しても、また例えば約
20×1〜5mmの複数個のスリツトを適宜間隔を置
いて開口に沿い一列に並べて形成してもよい。ブ
ロワーにより吸引され開口91およびスリツト9
2を介して吸引されるトナーはバツグフイルター
10に捕集され、フイルターはトナーで満たされ
るとそのまま取り出して破棄され、新たなフイル
ターに取り換える。

発明の効果 本発明によればハウジング底部の上側プレート
にスリツトを設けたことにより、現像時に発生す
るトナークラウドの吸引を完全に実施することが
でき、複写機内のトナーによる汚染が防止され
る。また現像剤の劣化により大量のトナークラウ
ドが発生しても本発明による吸引装置は優れた吸
引効果を有しているので長期にわたり複写機内を
清浄に維持することができる。
