DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a decorative board in which the surface of a substrate is decorated with a wood veneer, in which a sheet-like core material 1 is impregnated with a polyvinyl chloride paste 2, and this impregnated core material 1 is made of a wood veneer. The core material 2 and the wood veneer 3 are bonded and integrated by being stacked on the veneer 3 and passed between hot rolls 4, 4, and the polyvinyl chloride paste 2 is semi-gelled. The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a decorative board, which is characterized in that the paste 2 of polyvinyl chloride is completely gelled by adhering the paste 2 onto the paste 5 under heating conditions.

When creating decorative boards by attaching wood veneers obtained by slicing natural wood to the surface of substrates such as plywood, it is often necessary to top coat the wood veneers with a layer of polyvinyl chloride to reinforce the wood veneers and improve surface hardness. It is done. In this case, the following problems arise.

Moisture in the wood substrate has a negative effect on the gelation (curing) of polyvinyl chloride. To avoid this, I would like to use dried wood veneer, but dry veneer is extremely susceptible to cracking and chipping, making it practically impossible. Therefore, green veneers that do not dry are used as they are, but there are also problems in that preservation of green veneers is difficult due to the growth of mold and changes in moisture content.

Vinyl acetate-based or water-based vinyl urethane-based adhesives are used to bond surface veneers to substrates, but the moisture contained in these adhesives also has an adverse effect on the gelation (curing) of polyvinyl chloride.

The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and is capable of producing a decorative veneer that is capable of gelling polyvinyl chloride paste without fear of being adversely affected by moisture, and that is also excellent in storage of wood veneers. The purpose is to provide a method.

The present invention will be explained in detail below with reference to Examples. First, as shown in FIG. 1, a thin sheet-like core material 1 such as nonwoven fabric, paper, or glass paper that can be easily impregnated with paste is passed through a tank 6 containing polyvinyl chloride paste 2. PVC (Nippon Zeon 121) 100 parts by weight DAP monomer (reactive plasticizer: manufactured by Osaka Leader) 50 〃 DOP 20 〃 Organotin stabilizer 2 〃 Benzoyl peroxide (BPO) 1 〃 Paste to core material 1 2 As the impregnation method, any method similar to that used for impregnating a paper base material with a phenol resin varnish or the like when manufacturing a laminate can be arbitrarily adopted. In this way, PVC paste 2
After the core material 1 is impregnated with the core material 1, the core material 1 is stacked on the wood veneer 3 made by slicing precious wood and passed between heated rolls 4, 4, so that the polyvinyl chloride is applied to the surface of the wood veneer 3. By penetrating into the paste, the core material 1 is bonded to the wooden veneer 3, and the polyvinyl chloride paste 2 is semi-gelled to a B-stage state. In this case, the temperature of the heat rolls 4, 4 and the feeding speed of the wood veneer 3 and core material 1 passed through the heat rolls 4, 4 are determined by the combination of the DAP monomer and the polymerization initiator BPO in the above formulation. If the temperature of paste 4 is high, it can be fed at a high speed, and if the temperature is low, it can be fed at a low speed. However, if paste 2 has the above composition and the heat roll 4 is 130°C, the feeding speed is 3 m//.
If the heat roll 4 is at 150°C, the preferred speed is 5 m/min. Here, to semi-gel the polyvinyl chloride paste 2 means to gel it to the extent that the surface of the paste 2 is not sticky,
It is sufficient to gel to this extent.

By stacking a composite of the core material 1 impregnated with the semi-gelled polyvinyl chloride paste 2 and the wooden veneer 3 on a substrate 5 such as plywood via an adhesive and pressing it under heated conditions. , the wooden veneer 3 is pasted on the substrate 5. At this time, the polyvinyl chloride paste 2 is sufficiently cured by heating and completely gelled, the gloss and transparency are increased, and the color and pattern of the wood veneer 3 stand out on the surface.
At this time, the molding conditions for pasting the wooden veneer 3 onto the substrate 5 must be 150°C or higher and 3 to 5 minutes.
Further, the pressure may be applied under the same conditions as when bonding a normal wooden veneer to a substrate. In this way, a decorative board is obtained in which the wooden veneer 3 is adhered to the substrate 5 and the surface of the wooden veneer 3 is further coated with the polyvinyl chloride layer 7.

As described above, the present invention impregnates a sheet-like core material with polyvinyl chloride paste, overlaps a wood veneer, and passes the impregnated core material between heated rolls to bond and integrate the core material and the wood veneer. At the same time, the polyvinyl chloride paste was semi-gelled, and then this wooden veneer was adhered to the substrate under heating conditions, and the polyvinyl chloride paste was completely gelled. Gelation is carried out in an open state by stacking the wood veneer and the core material and passing them through a heated roll, which reduces the effect of moisture in the wood veneer on the gelation of the PVC paste. Furthermore, when a wooden veneer is bonded to a substrate, the polyvinyl chloride paste is in a semi-gelled state, so it is not affected much by the moisture in the adhesive. In addition, the wood veneer is dried when it is passed through a hot roll, which improves its adhesion to the substrate. Because the polyvinyl chloride and core material are bonded together, the wood veneer can be stored in stock without the risk of cracking or chipping. Moreover, the wood veneer is dried by the action of hot rolls. Therefore, there is no risk of mold growing on the wood veneer during storage.
