In recent years, small video cameras have been developed and become popular. In a conventional video camera, a camera body consisting of a lens barrel and a board is attached to a chassis, and an exterior side cover is attached to the chassis.
As a result, the chassis is assembled first, the lens barrel and circuit board are adjusted, and then the exterior cover is attached, which has the advantage that the camera body can be adjusted from all directions. The advantage is that even if the side cover of the camera breaks, the camera body will not break due to the rigidity of the chassis. On the other hand, since the above configuration has a built-in chassis, the video camera has the disadvantage that it cannot be configured compactly.

In addition, as a different method, attempts have been made to make the entire video camera more compact by omitting the chassis by making the exterior side cover stronger and attaching the lens barrel and board directly to the exterior side cover. However, this configuration has the disadvantage that when assembling the video camera, the lens barrel and the board can only be adjusted from one side cover side.

The object of the present invention is to provide a video camera having a structure that eliminates excessive strength and is convenient for assembly and adjustment. This has been achieved with a video camera configured such that another side cover is attached to the side cover while covering the camera body, and the side cover serves as an exterior.

FIG. 1 shows the optical system of a video camera according to the present invention. In the figure, there is a focus lens group FC that moves back and forth for focusing, and a variable power lens group that moves back and forth, consisting of a front group V1 and a rear group V2 . Next, there is a front group lens M1 for imaging, and a splitting prism SP that divides the optical path into an imaging system and a finder system. A part of the light is bent at right angles by the splitting prism SP with a semi-transparent surface set at an angle of 45 degrees, and the image is formed on the light-receiving surface of the image pickup tube T by the imaging rear group lens M2 . It serves as an imaging optical system.

Further, a part of the light that is split by the splitting prism P and goes straight ahead is formed into a finder optical system in which the front and rear finder lens groups F 1 and F 2 act as a finder when the eye is placed at the pupil position E. These optical systems require that their optical axes coincide and that the relative lens positions are maintained, and are housed in the lens barrel member 1 and integrated.

With the circuit configuration shown in the figure, power is obtained from the outside of the camera through the connector cord 2, and an imaging signal is obtained through the image pickup tube T, deflection circuit, high voltage circuit, signal generation circuit, and signal processing circuit, and then output again to the connector as an external output. Code 2 is sent to the video recorder.
Here, each of these circuits is constructed on a plurality of printed circuit boards and attached to the lens barrel member 1.

FIG. 3 shows a state in which the lens barrel member 1 and the image pickup tube T are attached via the image pickup tube mounting frame 1T to form a single body, and a plurality of printed circuit boards are attached to this to form the camera body. The printed circuit board P1 is a board for a high voltage circuit, is fixed near the image pickup tube T, and is built into the grip section of the camera. Also split prism
Three blind plates P2, P3, and P4 are attached to the outer periphery of the lens barrel 1SP of the SP section in a U-shape so as to cover it. On the printed board P4 on the left side when viewed from the front of the lens, an electrically adjusted adjustment component is provided outside the printed board P4.

FIG. 4 shows an exploded view of the outer shell member of the camera.
The outer shell member has a three-layer structure including side covers on both sides and an intermediate frame cover in between. The left side cover 31 on the left side when viewed from the front of the lens is designed to mount the main body shown in Fig. 3. A plurality of columns 312 are provided inside the left side cover 31, and the mirror can be attached using small screws. Connect the mounting hole 12 of the torso to the support post 3.
Fasten the screws to 12. In this manner, the main body shown in FIG. 3 is fixed to the left side cover 31, and the right side cover 32 is attached to the left side cover 31.
