Various types of decorative surfaces using plastic have been known, but most are single-colored, and those that use multiple colors are limited to patterns with unclear boundaries such as marble patterns, and those that use multiple colors are limited to patterns with unclear boundaries such as marble patterns. Shapes and patterns with clear boundaries using color have not yet been realized.

In the present invention, a plurality of colors of paint are prepared by mixing a curing agent and a coloring material into a liquid epoxy resin, one paint is applied on the processed surface, defoamed in a vacuum, and heated and cured. A multicolored plastic decorative surface in which a recess is formed on the surface of the cured paint, the recess is filled with paint of another color, defoamed in a vacuum, heated and cured, and then the entire surface of the paint is polished. This is the manufacturing method.

First, prepare multiple colors of paint. This paint uses a liquid epoxy resin mixed with a curing agent and a coloring agent. Pigments are usually used as the coloring material, but pearls, metal powders, plastic powders, etc. can also be used in place of or in addition to pigments.

Furthermore, a processed surface 10 as shown in FIG. 1 is prepared. This processed surface 10 is made of metal, plastic, or the like. If metal is used, the surface should be roughened by spraying with sand, emery steel, etc. so that the decorative surface will adhere well. In addition, in order to improve the aesthetic appearance of the edges of the decorative surface, the processed surface 10 is 0.3 to 0.7
It is best to make a recess of about mm. Note that this processed surface is not limited to a flat surface as shown in the drawings, but may be a curved surface, which is often found in eyeglass frames, or a cylindrical surface, such as the shaft of a fountain pen.

A paint 14 is applied onto this processed surface 10.
This application is performed by placing the paint on the processed surface 10 using a syringe or the like, and the paint is slightly (approximately 0.3 to 08 mm) bulged from the end 12 in preparation for shrinkage later (see Figure 2). . If the machined surface is cylindrical, like the shaft of a fountain pen, hold it horizontally.
If you perform coating and the work described below while rotating the paint around its axis, you can proceed without the paint dripping.

Next, it is placed in a vacuum container and degassed. Since air is mixed into the paint when the curing agent and colorant are mixed and applied, it is removed in a vacuum. Therefore, during later cutting, polishing, etc., when the surface is exposed, this air becomes bubbles and floats out, thereby preventing the bubbles from being exposed on the surface or causing cracks from the bubbles.

Next, the paint 14 and the surface are polished using sandpaper or the like (see FIG. 3). Since this polishing is to facilitate subsequent work, it may be omitted depending on the precision of the subsequent processing. Further, it is sufficient to use a polishing material lower in quality than that used for later finishing.

Next, a concave portion 16 is formed on the surface of this paint 14 (see FIG. 4). This work can be performed by cutting, embossing, die cutting, etc. using a carving machine or the like.

Next, the recessed portion 16 is filled with a paint 18 of another color in the same manner as described above, and the paint 18 is defoamed and cured (see FIG. 5). Note that if not only the paint 14 but also the surface of the machined surface 10 is removed during the cutting, sand or the like is again sprayed to roughen the surface of the machined surface 10 before filling the paint 18 so that the paint 18 adheres well. I'll leave it as that. If the surface of the processed surface 10 is not exposed, the paint 18 adheres well to the paint 14, so that this roughening work is not necessary.

Thereafter, the entire surface of the paints 14 and 18 is polished with sandpaper or the like, and further puffed to create a smooth surface (see FIG. 6). End portion 12 at this time
The surface is also polished at the same time to make it smooth.

The above manufacturing method performs the process of forming a recess and filling it with paint once to express two colors, but the process of forming a recess and filling it with paint is repeated two or more times to display three or more colors on the surface. It is also possible.

Furthermore, after forming the recesses, instead of filling all the recesses with the same paint, each recess is filled with paint of a different color, and the two or more colors of paint are defoamed and cured at the same time. It's not impossible either. However, in this method, there is a possibility that the paints may scatter and mix with each other during defoaming, so the condition is that there is sufficient distance between the different paints.

As is clear from the above, according to the present invention, a pattern of any shape with clear boundaries can be expressed using multiple colors. In addition, each paint adheres strongly,
There is no need to worry about it peeling off, and the surface is polished to a beautiful, smooth finish.
