上の問題から第1図のようにビス21で壁面への
取付を行なうのが一般的であり、ビス21が表面
に露出するために外観上好ましくないものであつ
た。また、壁面には炭酸カルシウムなどのアルカ
リ性材料が含まれることが多く、壁面が水分を含
むときにはアルミニウムのような化粧プレートA
では腐食され易く、壁面との接触面に防食処理を
施していたものであるが、壁を構成する材料の粉
末が水分を含んだ状態で化粧プレートAの裏面に
付着することもあり、防食処理に手数がかかるも
のであつた。さらに、ステンレスの場合には材料
そのものが硬質であるため、加工時に端部にばり
でき易く、使用時に危険であるという欠点があつ
た。

消すべく為されたものであつて、その主な目的と
するところは、表面が金属で覆われしかもビスな
しで取着できる化粧プレートを提供することにあ
り、他の目的とするところは、金属板裏面を合成
樹脂で覆うことによつて金属板裏面の防食処理を
不要とすることにあり、さらに他の目的とすると
ころは、金属板の端部を合成樹脂で覆うことによ
り、化粧プレート端部に金属板のばりがでないよ
うにして安全な化粧プレートを提供することにあ
る。

以下、本発明の実施例を添付図面に基づいて説
明する。本発明に係る化粧プレートは、壁面に取
着されるプレート枠2に嵌着されてプレート枠2
前面を覆うプレートであつて、熱可塑性樹脂の押
出成形で形成された基板3と、この基板3の成形
時に基板3前面に積層された金属薄板4とからな
り、金属薄板4の両側縁は基板3両側縁に夫々側
縁の全長に亘つて形成されている前面開口の溝5
に埋め込まれ、基板3裏面から突出する係止突部
6先端の引掛部7がプレート枠2の開口部1周縁
に係止されてプレート枠2に連結されるとともに
プレート枠2両端に設けられた突条20間に嵌め
込まれることを特徴とするものである。本実施例
では、スイツチやコンセントなどの電気器具を壁
面に取り付けるための化粧プレートを例示する。
第2図に示すように熱可塑性合成樹脂の基板3に
アルミニウムやステンレスなどの金属薄板4が積
層される。この積層物は押出成形機とクロスヘツ
ドダイとを用いて形成されるものである。すなわ
ち、第3図に示すように、クロスヘツドダイ8に
前置して配設されたロール成形機9と絞り成形機
10とによつて、あらかじめ両端部を折曲された
金属薄板4に、クロスヘツドダイ8内で基板3と
なる液状の熱可塑性合成樹脂11が積層され、ダ
イプレート12を通つて基板3が冷却されて硬化
し、第4図に示すような形状の長尺体13が得ら
れ、この長尺体13を必要な長さに切断すると共
に裏面の係止突部6を整形し、さらにスイツチや
コンセントを露出させるための開口14を穿設す
るのである。こうして成形された化粧プレートA
の巾方向両端部では、基板3の端縁の長手方向の
全長に亘つて形成された前面開口する溝5内に金
属薄板4の端部が収められている。また、第5図
に示すように、基板3の裏面には係止突部6が突
出し、この係止突部6先端には外向きに突出する
引掛部7が形成されている。さらに、基板3裏面
には、巾方向の中央に基板3側端縁と平行な凹条
15が形成されており、プレート枠2を壁面に取
り付けるためのビス(図示せず)の頭部が化粧プ
レートAに当つて化粧プレートAが壁面から浮き
上がるのを防止している。一方、プレート枠2は
第6図に示すように中央部が開口した枠体であつ
て、このプレート枠2の開口部1の側縁の上下両
端部に化粧プレートAの係止突部6の引掛部7が
夫々係止されるようになつている。プレート枠2
の上端部及び下端部には第7図に示すようなビス
孔16が形成してあり、ビス孔16内にはその内
周の三方から突片17が突出している。ところ
で、ビス孔16はプレート枠2の上下に設けられ
た台座部18に穿設されており、この台座部18
は、プレート枠2の上下両端部に夫々左右方向に
沿つて形成された長孔22とプレート枠2の開口
部1との間に設けられた左右の橋架部19によつ
て支持されている。橋架部19は前後方向に波打
つた波形となつており、橋架部19に前後方向の
弾性をもたせてプレート枠2をビスにて壁面に取
着したときにこの橋架部19の弾性により、プレ
ート枠2の周縁部が壁面に密着するようになつて
いるものである。また、プレート枠2の上下両端
には上縁と下縁との夫々の全長に亘つて前方に突
出する突条20が形成され、プレート枠2に化粧
プレートAを装着したときに、化粧プレートAが
両突条20間に保持され、化粧プレートAの上下
方向への位置ずれを防止すると共に、化粧プレー
トAの上下両端縁が露出するのを防止している。

部周縁に係止されてプレート枠に連結されるの
