That is, in this known connection method, after installing the new pipe 3 by inserting it into the existing main pipe 1 (Fig. 5), first connect the existing main pipe 1 and the existing branch pipe 2.
The existing main pipe 1 and the existing branch pipe 2 within the excavation range (space) 4 are cut and removed to a predetermined length as shown by the dotted line at the branching point between the pipe and the new pipe 3. It is also cut to a predetermined length and removed (Figure 6). Next, the cut and separated leading new pipe 3a' and trailing new pipe 3b' are connected to a T-shaped pipe 5 and a joint ring 6, and the T-shaped pipe 5 and the existing branch pipe 2 are connected to a short pipe 7. and connecting rings 8 (7th
figure). The connection work is now complete, and the existing branch pipe 2 will be connected to the new pipe 3 from the existing main pipe 1 to which it had been connected up until then.

Moreover, since the space 4 is relatively narrow, there are problems in that the workability is extremely poor and the overall connection time is long. In addition, since the cutting of the new pipe 3 is done on-site as described above, defects in the dimensions, shape, position, etc. after cutting are likely to occur, and this may cause the T-shaped pipe 5 connected to the new pipe 3 or the joint There are problems such as poor bondability with the ring 6 and the need for rework after bonding. Therefore, the technical object of the present invention is to enable connection of an existing branch pipe to a new pipe installed within an existing main pipe without cutting the new pipe.

ことである。(4) Means for solving the problem In order to solve the above technical problem, this invention is characterized by adopting the following technical means.
That is, in a method of connecting an existing branch pipe to a new pipe installed in an existing main pipe, when piping the new pipe, a spacer that can be separated from the new pipe is provided at the branching point between the existing main pipe and the existing branch pipe. , so that its tip is in contact with the leading new pipe and its rear end is in contact with the trailing new pipe, and after piping, the spacer is separated from the new pipe and removed from the branch, and this spacer is A connecting pipe is installed at the site of the pipe, and the preceding new pipe, trailing new pipe, and existing branch pipe are connected through this connecting pipe.

Moreover, the spacer that is separated and removed from the new pipe can be made reusable, for example, by being made disassembled, which is economical. In addition, there is no need to cut new pipes, and only the existing main pipe and existing branch pipes need to be cut, so there are no particular restrictions on the cutting machine or cutting method, and the entire connection work can be completed in a short time. Workability is significantly improved compared to conventional methods, and there are excellent effects such as shortening the construction period and reducing construction costs.
