本発明は各種の物品をトリクロルエチレン、ト
リクロルエタンのような有機溶剤を用いて洗浄す

の溶剤蒸気の放散は有効に阻止できるものの、被
洗浄物自体に付着して有機溶剤が外部へ持出され
ることは防止することができず、特に小ねじのよ
うな小型で比表面積が大きい被処理物を洗浄する

(作用)

有機溶剤の液体及び蒸気による脱脂洗浄を行わ
せ、この際に洗浄槽の上方から放散する有機溶剤
を有機溶剤を外壁1の内面の冷却パイプ2によつ
て冷却しつつダクト13によつて吸引することは
従来の有機溶剤洗浄装置と同様である。しかし本
発明の有機溶剤洗浄装置においては、最終洗浄槽
が蒸気洗浄槽4とされているので、被処理物30
は約78℃に加熱された状態で蒸気洗浄槽4から取
出され、これに隣接して設けられた真空タンク5
の中に加熱状態のまま直ちに収納される。次に被
処理物30を収納した真空タンク5の内部を真空
ポンプ9により−700mmHg程度まで減圧すれば、
例えば大気圧で78℃であつたトリクロルエタンの
沸点は14℃まで低下することとなり、被処理物3
0の表面に付着している有機溶剤は被処理物30
の保有熱によつて急速かつ完全に気化することと
なる。なお、真空タンク5の内部の気圧が−700
mmHg程度よりも高いと、被処理物30の表面か
らの有機溶剤の蒸発が遅くなり、完全な除去を行
うことができにくくなる。このようにして気化し
た有機溶剤の蒸気は真空タンク5の内壁面の冷却
パイプ8によつて液化されて下部のドレン弁9か
ら排出され、真空ポンプ9によつて吸引された蒸
気は排気分離器10によつて除去されることとな
る。かくして表面に付着している有機溶剤が外壁
1に囲まれた装置内部の真空タンク5内において
完全に除去された被処理物30はコンベア16上

れた高温の被処理物を真空タンクに収納して−
700mmHg程度まで減圧することにより被処理物の
表面に付着している有機溶剤を完全に気化させて
除去することができるようにしたものである。こ
のように本発明は蒸気洗浄槽の熱を有効に利用し
て装置内部の真空タンク内で被処理物に付着して
外部へ持出されようとする有機溶剤を気化させる
ことによつて有機溶剤の蒸気が外部へ漏れること
による作業環境の汚染を防止することに成功した
ものであるから、従来の問題点を解決した有機溶
剤洗浄装置として業界に寄与するところは極めて
