(1) Conventional technology and its problems When injecting an anticancer drug into the artery of a patient with advanced cancer for the purpose of cancer treatment, when a catheter is inserted into the artery and left in place, an anticancer drug injection port is used. When the distal end of the catheter is exposed outside the body, there are many medical problems in keeping the exposed portion clean. For example, problems arise such as it is extremely difficult to keep the exposed areas clean when the patient takes a bath, and this poses a major hindrance to the patient's daily life. In addition, from a therapeutic perspective, this catheter placement method itself is troublesome because it requires complicated procedures for aseptic operation when injecting drugs, and there is a possibility of infection from the exposed part and bleeding due to damage. These are major obstacles for patients with advanced cancer to return to society or receive outpatient treatment during their remaining years. In order to solve this problem, a reservoir connected to the end of the catheter placed in the artery is implanted under the patient's skin without exposing the end to the outside of the body, and an anticancer drug is injected percutaneously into this reservoir. A method has been proposed in which the anticancer drug is allowed to leak out from the reservoir into the catheter in appropriate amounts, but since anticancer drugs by their nature attack human tissue, it is absolutely impossible for the drug to leak out of the catheter. must be avoided. Conventional reservoirs lacked means to completely prevent their leakage.

(2) Technical means to solve the problem The present invention provides a solution to the problem by using a plate-like material and a non-fluid material in the part where the needle is penetrated so that the drug will never leak out even if the needle is repeatedly penetrated. The present invention proposes a subcutaneously implantable reservoir in which a leakage prevention material made of alternating soft elastic bodies is provided.

In order to prevent leakage of the anticancer drug due to repeated punctures, the leakage prevention material must not only be made of a material that has resilience after the needle is removed, but also must be made of a material that has resilience after the needle is removed; the leakage prevention material itself must flow from the reservoir into the blood vessel via the catheter. Since this poses a serious threat to the patient's life, this must never occur. Therefore, the present invention solves the above problem by avoiding the use of a fluid material as the leakage prevention material.

(3) Embodiment An embodiment of this invention will be explained using figures.
The figure is a cross-sectional view taken along the line A-A' of FIG. The lid 1 is fixed to the upper part of the reservoir body 2 by fitting a leakage prevention material made of alternating soft elastic bodies 5 with no fluidity, while the plate-shaped body 7 is fitted into the recessed part 6. A chamber for storing an anticancer drug is formed, a bottom plate 8 is fixed to the lower part of the reservoir body 2, and the recessed part 6 is
A hole 9 is pierced through one wall of the catheter, into which a catheter 11 having a valve 10 is fitted, as shown in FIG. The lid 1, the reservoir body 2, the bottom part 8, and the catheter 11 are made of silicone rubber to ensure good application to living organisms, and the plate-shaped body 7 may be made of any material that cannot be easily penetrated by a needle used for injecting an anticancer drug. The leakage prevention material should be made of a material that has resilience and does not leak out of the reservoir. That is, the non-flowable soft elastic body 5 includes (1) silicone putty, (2) temperature-sensitive softening substances (for example, polyvinyl acetate, acrylic ester copolymer, methacrylic ester copolymer, etc.). )(3) A water-containing softening material (for example, polyvinyl alcohol, etc.) is preferable, and the plate-shaped members 4 arranged alternately with this material are formed using 50 to 70 silicone rubber at Shore A. FIG. 4 shows an example in which plate-like bodies 4 and soft elastic bodies 5 are arranged alternately.

(4) How to use A catheter placed in an artery is inserted through the left thoracic artery, deep femoral artery, brachial artery, subclavian artery, etc., and the end of the catheter is inserted outside the blood vessel as shown in the reference figure. In this procedure, the catheter 11 fixed to the reservoir body 2 is inserted and ligated, and the reservoir is implanted under the patient's skin. The drug is injected by puncturing as shown in the figure.
