従来、この種のテレビジヨン特殊効果波形発生
器は、第1図に示す様に水平及び垂直周期の基本
波を発生し、波形合成回路において両基本波形の
合成を行なつた後、クリツプ回路でフエーダ制御
信号レベルによりクリツプを行ない効果波形を出
力していた。しかし、このような波形発生器では
発生できる波形の種類に限りがあつた。

本発明によれば、水平及び垂直周期の基本波を
それぞれ発生する回路と、この2つの基本波を合
成する波形合成回路と、合成された波形を受け所
定レベルを基準に折り返した信号を得る絶対値回
路と、前記絶対値回路の出力を受けてレベルシフ
トするレベル変換回路と、前記レベル変換回路の
出力をフエーダ制御信号レベルによつてクリツプ
するクリツプ回路とを具備し、このクリツプ回路
から特殊効果波形を得る特殊効果波形発生器が得
られる。

示す図で、図において、水平周期及び垂直周期基
本波発生回路1,2で水平及び垂直周期の基本波
を発生し、これを波形合成回路3において加算又
は非加算混合などの合成処理を行う。第3図を参
照して説明すると、例えば第3図aに示す波形が
波形合成回路3の出力として得られたとすると、
次に図の基準値VRを基準に絶対値回路5で折り
返えされ、その出力は第3図bのようになる。こ
れはいわば基準値VRを零としてその上を正、そ
の下を負としてその絶対値をとることに対応す
る。絶対値出力bは波形レベルを同図aと等しく
する目的でレベル変換回路6にて波形レベル変換
を行ない、同図cのように変換される。更にこの
ままでは波形の直流分が同図aと等しくないので
減算回路7において波形レベルの2分の1の定数
を減算することにより同図dの波形が得られる。
減算回路7の出力としては波形レベルも、直流分
も波形合成回路3の出力と等しい波形が得られた
ことになり、この波形をクリツプ回路4にてフエ
ーダ制御信号レベルによりクリツプすると本発明
による効果波形出力が得られる。
