However, in the conventional catheter described above, the cross-sectional shape of the passage of the catheter is circular or elliptical. Therefore, when various therapeutic instruments are inserted into this catheter together with an endoscope, the two may become entangled, causing both to become unusable at the same time. The problem was that it was difficult to insert.

[Means for Solving the Problems] The present invention has been made in order to solve the problems of the conventional catheter described above, and the present invention has been made in such a manner that the catheter is flexible and has a constricted cross-sectional shape. A dilation catheter having sufficient strength and elasticity to hold the sheath catheter and having a passage for a guide wire is removably inserted into a sheath catheter having a substantially elliptical passage. It is assumed that

As a result of implementing the above means, the catheter of the present invention allows only the sheath catheter to be indwelled after being introduced into the affected area along a guide wire that has been sent in advance into the ureter or other organ. An endoscope can be inserted into one side of the passage bordered by the constriction, and treatment and testing instruments can be inserted into the other side of the passage.

As shown in FIG. 2, the sheath catheter 1 has a passage 4 whose cross section is approximately elliptical with a constriction 3, so that the tube does not become blocked by the pressure of the ureter, etc. It is made of a flexible and transparent material so as not to damage the body's organs. Furthermore, if necessary, this sheath catheter 1
An adapter 5 can be attached to the tip. As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, this adapter 5 connects a substantially Y-shaped branch short pipe 6 to an external member 7.
The outer cross-sectional shape of the unbranched distal end is shaped to fit into the passageway 4 of the sheath catheter 1, and an on-off valve 8 is provided inside each branch.

The expansion catheter 2 has an outer cross-sectional shape that can be inserted into the passage 4 of the sheath catheter 1 as shown in FIG. (It has a roughly elliptical shape with a constricted part.)
It has a passage 9 for a guide wire, etc., and has sufficient strength and elasticity to hold the sheath catheter 1 and to insert it into a ureter or the like. Furthermore, one tip of the dilation catheter 2 is formed thin and sharp, the other tip is branched, and an adapter 10 is attached to each tip of the branch.
